It didn’t take much for a smile to find its way to his lips. Not only had he found Yusei again but he remembered him as well!
“Yeah, I was definitely surprised to see you again…”
“Though you’d think I would be accustom to things like this considering the things I’ve seen and done in the past.”
He replied, a soft chuckle rising from within his throat. It really was quite odd for either of them to be caught off guard so easily given how they met in the first place. Of course, Polis hardly seemed like a setting that Yusei fit into. Atemu, on the other hand, probably suited this place quite well - maybe that’s why Yusei didn’t recognise him right away?
” Well, I suppose as you can tell I seem to be a little lost or well…maybe a lot more than a little a bit clueless as to what’s going on”
“Ah… I guess I should explain things to you before I get completely sidetracked.”
The male stopped, turning his head from side to side as he examined the area around them. Standing in the middle of the street hardly seemed like an appropriate place to discuss that matters at hand… plus he was still pretty hungry. His gaze finally stopped on the café he was initially heading for and it lingered there for a long moment before he looked back at Yusei once more.
“I hope you don’t mind accompanying me to that coffee shop over there.” Atemu started, gesturing to said establishment with one hand. “I will explain everything once we’re inside.”
Without a second thought he started toward the café. He paused and looked back momentarily, making sure Yusei was following, before continuing the rest of the way. Perhaps he could have used that second thought since Yusei hadn’t agreed to anything but it was kind of late now… opps.
The Pharaoh looked around the room, scouting a good seat for the two of them. Eventually he spotted a table by the window and wasted no time in seating himself. If there was a ‘please wait to be seated’ sign then it went unnoticed by him as he was much more focused on the task at him - which was actually eating but he’d mention that in a moment. First, he had to look over the menu and decide what it was that he wanted.
“Sorry, I just thought that we should move somewhere we’d be out of the way.”
“Not to mention I’m also hungry…. but that’s not important. Oh, did you want anything?”
The last part he kind of just threw in as an after thought but it’s the thought that counts, right?
