If I'm being honest, there is something about that oppressive NYC summer heat that I miss. Los Angeles summers are hot, but it cools off at night and you forget the overbearing heat of the day. In NYC, it doesn't cool off at night, you can't forget. My body tingles as I remember the feeling of standing on the subway platform on a summer day. It's the kind of feeling you can't forget because it is the predominant feeling, unrelenting. Everyone says I was crazy because I liked that heat, and I am. But there's something about it that won't let you forget you are in NYC and that you are alive. Anyhow, read this. It's about NYC before AC.
