A very silly kitbash for genestealer cults cause I saw a few people building there own benedictus instead of buying another new character . Probably going to add more green stuff to add more brain but I’m worried it’ll be super back heavy
Here are my Kroot war shaper and flesh shaper, in my headcanon the older or more mutations you have the darker the Kroot skin gets so I painted the Flesh Shaper like an old veteran that just refuses to retire. I am probably going to get a second War Shaper just to build the second loadout cause I almost could t choose they both looked cool.
I have had no interest in Star Wars Shatterpoint before but after seeing these minis at one of my local haunts and painting them up this was really fun and if the game is at least interesting I may get into it just to paint more minis with this much character
I have been away for a awhile sense my last post mainly because I have been cutting my mini time and painting time short because life is sucks sometimes. But I do have some good news, for one I got the new Tau kroot box and have been working hard to build and paint them, also my spiraling workload is not just because the capitalist machine we all live in sucks but because I have been putting longer days at my job to find a trip to Gen Con. It will be my first big convention I have ever gone to and I have been warned it will be allot but I plan to try out allot of things and probably buy allot of minis so prepare for more pictures in August at the very least. Other then that I have opened up commissions for a person by person basis so I don’t get overwhelmed and still have fun painting other peoples things to earn more money, I’ll post more on that as well later so stay tuned
Trying to finish up my backlog bit by bit and here’s another piece that I have no use for in any of my armies. Anyone looking for a beast boss
Also finally finished the big Nids that I kept from the leviathan box and I think I’ll probably sell them cause I have no use for them and my Nid playing friend has a different scheme
So many kroot , this pile took me like a month to build and paint but when you get hype over a release box full of more that’s coming out soon
Some DnD minis that have have done sense I last posted. It’s been a bit but this doesn’t mean I’ve stopped
After a bit of a miscommunication and forgetting a buddy had bought the killteam box, I am now the proud owner of three sets of Farstalker Kroot. I mean I’m not gonna say no and I bought these just before the Tau announcements so I’m eating good on fun Tau things I’m gonna try but I think at this point I have as much Kroot infantry as regular fire teams
I need this.
Reblogged last year, hoping it comes this year
How long is an average 40k game? Going off your experience with tabletop
4 or 5 hours, give or take.
By my experience most tournament play aims for 3 hours per game, but that's assuming both people know what they are doing and rarely need to look up stuff.
damn ok if this is the case then my local games aren't that bad time wise. i always worry im taking too long with my turns but for the most part the time burning stuff is remembering rules or buffs units have and what i need to roll for wound rolls
I really did look at the 41st millenium and think "I can fix this" and picked T'au Empire huh
I’m a sucker for the unrelenting power of optimism ok
The first mistake someone makes when interested in T'au lore is reading Phil Kelly. But the second, and ultimately more important one, is they look at the T'au and see generic sci-fi plugged into a deeply flawed galaxy that has no room for the likes of Mass Effect in its grimdarkness. The T'au Empire is not a banal faction that in any other setting would be the villains. Instead, one should look at them as a mirror of humanity. Not the humanity of the great crusade. No, you have to look further back than that - to the golden age of humanity. The T'au are a reminder that the lights in the sky aren't enemies. The lights in the sky are stars.
Don't you want to see them?
Another fairly quick paint job I did last night. I did the magic effects first cause they are really fun but then I had to carefully paint around them the rest of the night. Note to everyone sometimes you can skip to the fun part but then you better not mess up later
This was a nice treat to paint up, all of like four paints needed ( not including white and black for shading) and it came out real sharp. Still do t k ow how I’m gonna base these loose Nids I have but I can figure that out later
Filling in my Grey Knights and they had become a fast favorite army of mine to play.
