Blaziken card ‘redraw’ for the Hoenn Pokédex collab! @poketcg-art

Really wanted to try cross stitching an entry lol. I picked this Particular card because I have A Story to go with it (story and referenced card under the cut):

So when I was a teenager and still actively collecting Pokémon cards, I had this card in my collection.

One of my little brothers who was a kid at the time found it endlessly amusing to sneak into my room, steal this card in particular, and hide it somewhere in the house. I’m not sure how many times this repeated, but at some point I couldn’t find the card anymore. Then we moved to a new state and I just figured I’d never see the card again.

Fast forward 15ish? years later and me and my brothers are all playing Pokémon TCG Pocket and the Blaziken thief is lamenting the fact that he didn’t take better care of his cards when he was younger. He decided to check in the attic on the off chance that some of his old cards survived. He actually found a bag of them in a storage container up there. AND LO AND BEHOLD MY LONG LOST BLAZIKEN CARD REAPPEARED.

So thats why I HAD to pick Blaziken for this collab.

Bonus: the sketch that I turned into a cross stitch pattern. Ended up having to trim a lot of background off the sides to get the pattern to fit inside the hoop.
