I am no where near my tablet right now, nor am I a professional, but my usual process is to remember that the body isn’t rigid, but a collection of organic shapes.
The torso for example is a rice/bean bag in my mind, so there’s going to be folds/ wrinkles whenever they turn and twist.
Another thing I’ve found helpful when making sure my poses aren’t too stiff is that the shoulder and hip line are never parallel, and intersect at some point (I saw this tip in passing a long while ago).

The aforementioned logic can be applied to all body types!!
Other than that, I tend to focus on movement and balance, and looking at references is definitely a huge help!!
I would remember to ‘apply’ what you learned— think of it like a math problem: you learn the equation and do practice problems with the teacher, but when on a test, you have to apply what you learned from the practice. In this case, try different angles, perspectives, or body types.
I’m prolly forgetting a lot of things, and again, I want to clarify that this is my personal process and not professional advice. I am self taught, so most of the things I’ve learned are from logic and observation. I hope this is helpful!!

In some way, grandma bucchi will be the more social one xD she would get along really well with Malleus and his granny, and since she's not afraid of them.... I think they would love to chat to her. About everything.
Ruggie on the other hand.... Probably would let her do the talking, i mean, talking to Malleus is one thing, but talking to his granny???? NOPE. And before he'll know it, its been hours of them since they started the conversation.... Now he has to wait.... and waaaaaait-
Once a sincere man of God, Cassius survived a massacre that claimed his entire congregation while he was mid-sermon. He had begged God to intervene and God simply...didn't. Instead of losing his faith, he twisted it to survive this betrayal. He decided God didn't fail him. God chose him. Had 'spared him for a reason'. That he's no longer a preacher spreading God's word anymore, he's God's instrument.
He's not lying when he quotes scriptures. He believes every word.
The Massacre :
He was doing the "right" thing, the devoted thing. He had been preaching. He hadn't even seen the men break in properly, hadn't heard the screams over his own prayers. He was looking upwards, eyes to the heavens, and that's the exact moment he's struck. The last thing he saw was nothing, just faith.
He came to on his back, ears ringing, everything blurred and red on one side, The world goes quiet, the bandits are long gone, they got what they wanted and left. His vision swims back into focus in just one eye now, and looming above him is the very same statue. A carved Christ figure. It's not moving, it never was going to move. But to a dying, concussed and faith-shattered man, stillness reads as witness. Like it saw the whole thing and simply let it happen.
That's the moment his mind rewrites the tragedy. Not "God abandoned me" but "God kept me alive on purpose, and made sure I was looking right at him when I woke up so I'd understand."
What he does from town to town:
Where the wound is, he can no longer see the physical world, but he insists that's the point. That eye doesn't look outward anymore. It looks upwards. He'll tell you, that losing that eye is when God finally let him see clearly.
— He targets people who resemble the men who hurt his congregation. Bandits, drunks, petty thieves, small time raiders,,,, Someone robbing a traveler for a few coins might set him off even harder than an actual murderer would.
— He trusts his blind eye as literal divine sight. He'll look at a stranger and just "decide" —This one's rotten // This one's clean — with full confidence. He's not truly seeing anything. He's pattern matching trauma onto strangers and calling it God.
— He's a preacher that people confess to whenever he arrives in town. People hand him the evidence themselves sometimes. An affair // theft // a moment of cruelty. And because he believes he can sense sin, a real confession just confirms what his eye "told him".
He isn't evil in his own mind. Every single kill, to him, is mercy. He thinks he's the only kind thing left in this wicked world.
That's the thing he keeps coming back to. Bandits. If it had been a natural disaster, or bad luck, maybe he could've stayed a normal grieving man. But because it was people — Ordinary , forgettable men — who could've been anyone. He needed the event to mean something bigger than "wrong place, wrong time". He couldn't accept that his entire congregation died over a routine robbery gone wrong. So he built a mythology big enough to match his grief.

I don't have speedpaints of my bigger colored pieces bc of my ancient PC I draw on, but I have procreate sketches timelapses!! I have a few so I hope you'll find them uselful.
youre art is so gorgeous and i especially love the way you draw faces!! im curious, do you have any tips or insight on how you construct faces? ive see your timelapse and it looks like you just freehand it all, though im sure that came with years of practice!
Thank you! Indeed, it all came with practice and sometimes I can't even recall how I do it. But I locked in and figured my freehanding out!
The thing is to think of a face as of a mask. It helps me out a lot, and you actually can learn drawing from real masks, to me it was more helpful than drawing just faces. It is even more useful if you have a 3d mask on your hands or as your digital reference, so you can rotate it and figure it out.
Since lions are matriarchal I think that in the Kingscholar royal family, female heirs are preferred (similar how in real life, male heirs were preferred in royalty). So To expand on this HC. If Leona were to have a daughter before Cheka grows up and gets on the throne, based on this his daughter would usurp Cheka. Like if Leona has a daughter essentially his line will take over.
