My friend hates that I take pictures of her when she laughs but I love them so much. I love the face she makes when she laughs. Her nose scrunches up like a flower drying and her eyes look like crescent moons when they close. Her smile reminds me of the sunrise, It’s so full of life and shows her true color. Her laugh alone is loud and riddled with energy. It sounds like waves rolling across rocks of a foggy beach. Her face is suddenly free of all worry and care as her eyes fill with the stars as her laughter fades away.

sex is cool and all, but have you ever made a girl laugh by telling a stupid joke, and she just smiles and looks at you, like really looks at you, and for a moment everything just stops and you feel weightless? it’s amazing

Appreciation Post: Percussion edition

When it comes to the percussion section(or battery) they’re known for being loud, offbeat, and hot. Well I’m gonna deny one of those. Anyways the battery is a group of the hardest working, friendliest, and most teased sections. They carry around big, heavy, awkward drums. They are such wonderful people and The ones I know are full of life and some of the chillest people I’ve ever known. They set tempos and keep the band on the right track. Without them it feels like a disaster is about to happen at any moment. They have one of the most powerful sounding instruments that carries for miles it feels. You can feel the beat in your chest and just hold that sense of power in you.The Battery is a truly amazing group of people who are just made of thunder and energy only they can harness.

Band is over

It’s been a great 4 years of being in the Saint Edward Marching Eagles. It’s had its ups and downs it's’ loud cheers and it’s tender crying. It’s been my family for 4 years and it’s been my biggest rivalry. It’s given me new opportunities and and lost me some. But I’ve watched myself grow and change. I’ve watched jokes die out and new ones be created. I know I’m gonna miss it and I’m gonna miss seeing them. But I’ll remember all the good (and bad) memories that came with it. I learned a new instrument for it and I’ve made so many wonderful friends. Some I hope to cherish forever and never forget because they made my life great. There are those I’m going to wish I could forget and those whose names are already gone from my head. I’m absolutely going to marching band in college because I love the family. I love the bus rides that help us bond and the silly songs, lame jokes, and enthralling stories that are told to those who will listen. I plan to return and to see my wonderful friends from the past. But until then I’m gonna miss them and the memories I’ve had with them. It’s been a great run and I enjoyed every minute of it.

if all-male drum corps are a thing, why are there no all-female drum corps???

and before anyone gross gets a hold of this post i’d like to say that if i hypothetically ever started an all-female drum corps, trans girls would be 110% welcome

Orchard maple rainstorm

Rainstorm: it honestly depends. If I’m super stressed it’ll be ready but I don’t cry often at all. Sad movie scene tho. The tears don’t stop flowing.

You know what I think needs some more recognition?

Guy drum majors. It’s so rare that I see dude drum majors and honestly my heart flutters whenever I see one lol. They’re so cool.

i’m not a guy drum major, but i find your lack of them quite weird, because we only ever seem to have guys??? and then we always have girl guard captains

My school hasn’t had a guy drum major to my knowledge since my sister marched. That was years ago. Drum majors at my school are usually girls. And we have girl guard captains. I haven’t seen guys do colorguard since my freshman year and I was told they were both gay.
