Briar notes:

The outfit sort of reminds me of the Sleeping Beauty dress, but what can we highlight and emphasize to make it a wow? Oh, I know! Those things are on his shoulders! If I squint hard enough, they look like triangles. Triangles are fashionable, right? Okay! Let's do a triangle-themed outfit!

Two weeks later:

Honestly, the hardest thing about this whole outfit was the colors. My aim was "space-themed" like what I did with Saarke but then I ended up with Sci-fi. I kind of really like this outfit, actually. And it has that androgynous vibe.

Back then when I was looking at Lakencill's design, I asked Gia what the random spots in the fur were for and she said "for the design." I had little idea as to what she meant but I internally concluded that it kind of looked like leopard spots. Now I can finally make my vision come true~~~

I never actually thought of drawing Lakencill🤷‍♂️

Briar notes:

Got inspired by the interstellar clouds because of the blue puffs on the design. Also, since Saarke's the first ruling patriarch, his theme should be above most people. So, like, space. Galaxy.

Overrated but I think it suits him.

Learning how to color nebulas suck bro. They are just so hard to draw.

Hi! I noticed that this is Gia's other side blog for her story. I was scrolling through when I noticed Rivlex and I wanted to ask like... A concept paper of how Rivlex's dress is. Like, what are the lines supposed to be and why does it have a lot of volume?

Okay hi, hello! First and foremost, this is a sideblog for me and Briar. Not my sideblog entirely, I just do my art and share it to share here, just a little clarification there.

Second, I honestly don't have any concept art in comparison to Thooraki and Iceesat. I made Rivlex the same time as I made the other patriarchs so their first design has always been their design.

As for Rivlex--

I didn't exactly have a thought of him when designing him or any of the Patriarchs. I wanted each of them to simply have unique dress designs, so I didn't exactly did their designs with any purpose until later on. I add the lore right after the design to match the design.

But looking at the design now, the best thing I can say about those lines and lumps is more of the petticoat inside the skirt. But if you're talking about the sleeves, the design of the sleeves are just like a bit poofy.
