New chapter up for Serendipity!
Fanfic: Serendipity Ch 3, Sonic the Hedgehog | FanFiction
New story up on my page.
I had this mostly written a while ago, and finally thought to clean it up a bit and post it. Iâm still not sure if I like it or not, but Iâm posting it anyway - if I waited until I was sure something was practically perfect, Iâd never post anything at all. Still, if you have any thoughts on it feel free to let me know, in asks or in DMs!
(Requests are still always open, by the way! You can put those in DMs too, if you want!)
Title taken from Owl Cityâs Beautiful Times, which I might draw on more in the future, not sure yet. I never meant for basically everything here to be named for Owl City songs, but thatâs whatâs ended up happening.

Hey Hedgie Squad! First of all, Iâd like to say thank you to all of you for liking the things I post! I found that a lot of people liked my last post, and that made me really happy!!!!! Second of all, @bunnylass17 requested for #25, which would be photo. I really hope you like it! You are a huge inspiration to!
âHi! Whatâs your name?â A cobalt hedgehog, with the eyes of emeralds asked.
âR-,â the pink girl stopped herself. This was someone new, he didnât know her nameâŚitâs best if he just called her by⌠âA-Amy. Amy Rose.â Thatâs much better. She didnât want to be called by her childhood nickname. She wanted to be called by a much mature name. Her real name.
âWell, itâs nice to meetcha Amy! Say, do you know why Metal Me captured you? Thereâs always a reason behind why he does dumb stuff like that.â the child, who looked about 11, said with concern. The young girl fell in love immediately. âAmyâ, jumped up, and tackled the blue stranger. He started struggling in her grasp, trying to squirm free.
âCanât-âŚBREATHE!â Amy immediately let go, her âtrue loveâ panting, as though he had just ran a marathon (which would be easy for him) After a few moments, Amyâs hero had stood back up, regaining his confident posture. âIâm-â His introduction was interrupted by the squeal of the little Rose in front of him.
âSonic the Hedgehog! Iâve heard of you! My tarot cards told me that Iâd be destined to meet you! So weâll fall in love, get married, have children, grow old together, and be loved forever! Doesnât that sound romantic, my hero?â Amy looked to her side and noticed that Sonic had zipped off, thinking that she was another one of his crazed fangirls. But little did he knowâŚ
-
âSONIC!â A 15 year old Sonic, whose name was called by his 12 year old friend, Amy Rose, was glomped from behind. He tried pulling her off, but gave up, as she had immense strength. He liked the attention Amy gave him, but her clingy actions, not so much. Amy let go, and he turned around to face her.
âUhhâŚHey, Ames. Nice to see ya!â Sonic exclaimed, hoping she wouldnât unexpectedly glomp him again.
âIs everyone here?â Tails asked. He looked around, checking everyone off in his mind. âOkay then! Get ready!â Tails put the camera on a ten second timer, and hurried to his spot next to Knuckles. Amy clung onto Sonicâs arm, planting a kiss on his cheek as the camera flashed into the teamâs eyes. Not only was Team Sonic in the picture, but Team Dark and Team Rose. The Chaotix were there as well. The picture was printed out so everyone got a copy. Amy hung it over her bed.
-
âSo, I heard a specific someone was out on a date.â Sonic scowled at his petite pink friend. His quills had become a slight bit darker during the years, like a royal blue color. He had overheard Rouge talking to Cream about Amy going out with someone. That someone being Shadow. âWhat were you gonna do with Shadow?â Amy noticed how his voice seemed darkâŚ
NoâŚ
He couldnât beâŚ
Jealous?..
âSonicâŚSince when do you care about me going out with other people?â She couldâve sworn she saw red on his cheeks. To be honest, she was blushing the whole time because Sonic was leaning on the wall right next to her.
âI-Iâm your friend, and itâs my job you donât get heartbroken or hurt by anyone-â
âLike you used to all these years?!â Amy snapped. Both her and the blue hedgie looked shocked at her sudden and rude outburst. âI donât like him, he just needed love advice for someoneâŚâ Amy turned her head down. Sonicâs glare was piercing through her pink head. Sonicâs finger went down to Amyâs chin, and lifted her face up. She was crying. Amyâs ears were flat against her head, and Sonic felt guilty. âI-Iâm sorry, Sonic. I didnât mean toâŚâ Sonic bent down and brushed her lips against his. Amyâs face and ears went bright red.
Amy, being the stubborn hedgie that she was, pressed her lips onto Sonicâs roughly, as if it was the last thing they could ever do. Sonic happily returned the favor. He licked her lips, and she happily allowed entrance. As Sonic put his hands on her waist, the sound of a camera clicking could be heard. Sonic and Amy pulled away, their bodies tingling with excitement.
âGOT IT!â Tails yelled and his mouth was covered by Rouge and was tackled by Cream into the bush making sure they werenât seen. Sonic and Amy sweatdropped at the stalkers in the bush.
-
âWho said that Sonic would propose within five months of dating?â Rouge asked, while all their friends dove into chocolate cake.
âMe!â Cream and Tails yelled simultaneously. Shadow and Knuckles groaned, taking out fifty mobiums from their wallets. Amy giggled.
âCouldnât you have done it a bit later, faker?â Shadow grumbled.
âBut Shadow! I wouldâve proposed to Sonic if heâd waited a bit longer.â Amy said, stroking Sonicâs knuckles under the table.
âWait, we had a bet for that, too! Who guessed that Amyâd propose first?â Silver asked. Everyone excluding Cream and Tails gave took their money out.
âThis money is to convince Amy to get off of life control!â A drunk Vector cheered.
âLife control? Oh my Chaos, Amy are you dying?â Sonia, Sonicâs triplet sister asked.
âI think Vector meant birth control. But how do you know about that?â Amy asked, startled by Vector knowing a private fact.
âOh, Sonic said how heâd been dying to have babies with you.â The crocodile hiccuped.
âWell, that urge can now be fulfilled! Make us nieces and nephews! Make a lot ofâem!â Rouge exclaimed, handing a bag with the specific ânecessitiesâ of a honeymoon. Amy turned red when she saw what was in the bag. Tomorrow night would sure be fun.
-
âIâM GOING TO F***ING KILL YOU FOR THIS, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!â We move on, as we see Amy Rose the Hedgehog screaming into Sonicâs ear while she had contractions, and was struggling to push.Â
A childâs crying could be heard.Â
Amy looked over to her husband, who had fainted on the ground. He gave a thumbs up and said âWorth it.â Amy was given her child, and decided to go with a name similar to Sonicâs, but the name would depend on what the child looked like. A royal blue hedgehog with streaks of navy blue and indigo softly squeaked and nuzzled into Amyâs chest.Â
âSay cheese.â Amy smiled and looked up to see her friends all standing there, watching the new mother bond with her baby.Â
-
âHey Ames! Where are you? I just put Blur to bed!~â Sonic said in a sing-song voice.
âIâm in the attic!â Amy yelled softly, making sure she didnât wake her little hedgie up. Sonicâs head appeared through the attic door.
âWhatcha lookinâ at?â He asked, as he laid next to his wife.
âIâm just looking at memories.â Amy showed him the album.Â
There was the photo from when they first met,Â
The photo celebrating their one-year anniversary as getting together as a team,
The photo of Sonic and Amyâs first real kiss,
The photo of Amy and Sonic being declared as bride and groom,
And the photo of Sonic and Amyâs first child.Â
Sonic knew for certain that thereâd be many more photos to come.
âSometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.â
Thanks for reading, I really hope you enjoyed! I tried to make this sound really descriptive, and tried to stay on the right path and not get carried away. SonAmy Week 2019 - Movie Night
Sonic awoke to the sound of incessant buzzing. He glanced blearily to his side where his phone was flashing in the darkness and shielded his eyes from the glare of the screen. Glancing at it blearily, still half-asleep, Sonic frowned as he tried to figure out what was going on.
âAny Pose? What the-â he muttered, pressing answer before rubbing at his eyes. âHello?â
âSonic! Oh ⌠sorry, did I wake you?â a girlâs voice said breathlessly down the line.
âAmy?â he said slowly, a light bulb flickering to life in his mind. âAre you okay, itâs like two am or something?â he said, glancing at his wrist comm to get a more exact measure of the time.
âI just needed to hear âŚâ she started, her usually light voice rooted in panic. Whatever she was about to say next, Sonic never heard. What he did hear was something clattering loudly down the phone as the girl shrieked, the call cutting off instantly.
âAmyâ?â Sonic called back, realising futilely that heâd lost connection with her. Why had she called him so late, why did she cut the call and why was she shrieking? Flashes of every danger she could be in tortured his vivid imagination and the next thing he knew, he was at her door.

What a beautiful read as always from this amazing author! Havenât read a sonamy FanFiction in too long and this was a perfect reintroduction! Loved it.
Little Do You Know
'Love is never a straight line. Sometimes you've got to freehand.' Little Do You Know Head down to avoid making eye contact with too many people, I pushed the shopping cart down the aisle of the supermarket beside Amy, who had her cute nose in her shopping list and wasn't watching where she was going. I reached out and pulled her gently to the side so she wouldn't walk into a display of grapefruit at the last second. She looked up, seeming a little startled, gave me a small adorable embarrassed smile and went straight back to her shopping list. Shaking my head at her distraction, I chuckled lightly and carried on pushing the annoying cart with the dodgy wheel around the shop. I must've been giving out boredom vibes because Amy stopped me a second later. "You don't have to be here, Sonic. I can do my shopping alone," she rested her small hand on my arm and smiled at me with that too cute to ignore tug of her lips. She really meant it too, she didn't need me there and she wouldn't be offended if I zipped out of the store as fast as possible. She wouldn't take it personally, she wouldn't berate me later on because I left her stranded. After-all, it was me who asked if I could come along. I might have had ulterior motives for that this time though. "I know, but I just want to make sure you pick up the right chilli this time," I winked at her where I was casually leaning on the cart. Amy's cheeks flushed and she ducked her head to scout over her shopping list again. Her reaction surprised me and I stood back up to my full height and watched her. She knew I was, her face was getting redder the more I stared. Why was she acting all squirrely all of a sudden? Did I put my foot in it? Not that it would be the first time with her, but I like to think it's been a very long time since I did. I'm far past that slightly stuttery, AmyRosemakesmenervous stage of bolting and/or saying something to upset her accidentally. What's insulting about chilli? Narrowing my eyes I reached out and hooked a finger under her chin, making her turn to look me in the eye. I didn't say anything, I just gave her a look and waited. She bit her lip, her eyes shining with humour as we silently battled it out. I couldn't tell you who's the most stubborn out of the two of us, I think we're pretty equal on that battlefield. Amy did crack first though, probably because we were drawing attention to ourselves by having a stare down competition in the middle of an aisle at the store, our cart abandoned. She swallowed nervously, tucking a stray quill over her shoulder as she glanced down and looked back up at me. I felt like I was being played by her unintentional adorableness. "I've just been trying a new chilli out, that's all. I'll get your normal one from now on." she mumbled as she turned away and walked off quickly down the aisle. Being the fastest thing alive it didn't take me long to catch up to her, wonky shopping cart or not. She was distractedly throwing things in and ticking items off her list. I watched her for a moment, my mind rummaging back over the past couple of weeks, trying to remember the packaging of this new chilli she'd been tainting me with. When we got to the tinned chilli my eyes scanned the shelves trying to locate the right one. Amy placed a few of my normal favourite in the cart and started off at quite the quick pace. She was too late though, because my eyes zeroed in on the tin I was looking for and I almost dropped it on my foot out of terror. She has been tainting me! Amy Rose, one of my oldest and best friends has been secretly feeding me poison for weeks, on my precious chilli dogs no less! Is it some kind of practical joke? Was she hoping I wouldn't notice? How - how could she?! "Amy Rose!" I called, maybe a little too loudly as I appeared in front of her, stopping her from running away. She collided into me and jumped back just as fast. She looked nervous now. Nervous and like she was trying hard to not laugh at me. I know how I must've looked - a little crazed, scared and hurt. My poor chilli dogs . . . "You've been feeding me low fat chilli?" My voice was almost cracking just saying it aloud. And then a more horrifying thought occurred to me. "Ames, are you trying to say I'm getting fat?" I muttered, staring down at my stomach. Amy made a noise that made me look up in surprise. Was that a purr? Her eyes did a pretty quick and pretty thorough inspection of my body that more than inflated my ego, I can't deny it. Fat thought gone, it took a lot of willpower to not flex right there and then just to see what she would do. I settled for a familiar and proud smirk instead. When she met my eyes again her blush was back in full force from being caught out and I grinned even wider. "Oh shut up, you know you're hot," she huffed as she shouldered past me. True, I've lost my gangly teenage body and filled out a bit more since sparring more with Knuckles and doing more top secret missions around Mobius - a hedgehog's got to pay for said chilli dogs somehow. But still, it didn't hurt being told every now and again I'm buff. "Besides, I got it because it's healthier." she continued, back to her annoying list again. I nearly snorted at that. "Amy, in case it has escaped your notice, but I run at the speed of sound. If that doesn't burn off whatever I eat then I'm screwed. Low fat chilli not only tastes like crap, but ruins a decent chilli dog. Thanks but no thanks." I hummed, squeezing her shoulder once as I walked past her. She simply shrugged, the matter dropped just like that. That's one of the things I appreciate about Amy - she doesn't go on and on. We talk it out and it's finished, rarely to be brought up again. But now I knew she was getting the good chilli my itch to get out of the supermarket and burn off some energy was tingling through my body. Amy picked up on it instantly and nodded, "Go ahead, I'll see you later." she smiled. Grinning because my friends a mind reader I quickly kissed the top of her head and bolted out of the store. But then I remembered something and did a quick 360 to go back. I ran up behind Amy and whispered in her ear, "I think you're hot too, Ames." Grinning from her bodies shivery response I was about to run again when her matter of fact voice followed after me. "Yeah, I know I am." Jogging backwards so I could turn to see the smirk I knew she had on her face, I saluted her come-back with a laugh and wink, leaving for good that time. Maybe I'll join her shopping again soon, I thought. Just because. xXx I ducked back down behind the crackers I was hiding behind as I watched Sonic disappear out of the store for the second time. I stared at a random spot on the floor, confused and curious. Are Amy and Sonic - are they in a relationship? When did that happen? Why didn't he tell me? I thought I was his best friend, his little brother. And I use the term little very loosely these days as I'm almost on par of height with him now. But still, why didn't he tell me? Peeking back over the crackers to see where Amy was I watched her for a few seconds, part of my mind telling me this was being a bit stalkery, and the other wondering why I wasn't going up to say hello to her in the first place. It's not as if we don't bump into each other here on the rare occasion I do come here to get my groceries. I guess I'm still floored by what I just watched. I mean, they didn't kiss in the middle of the shop or anything. But they looked - familiar - with each other. Unless I've had my focus on someone else too much and haven't noticed. Embarrassment flushed my cheeks at the inner truth of that possibility. I know Sonic hasn't dated anyone in a while. The few relationships he has had haven't gone on for more than half a year at least. Though I've had my suspicions in the past that it's because he's never really acknowledged to himself his true feelings for Amy, the relationships he has been in seemed as though he was happy? Although again, maybe I wasn't paying enough attention. It's been a whirlwind few years as Eggman has eased off on his attacks and everyone has found other things to fill their time. I've thrown myself into my inventions and making a name for myself in the scientific field off my own merit and not someone who works alongside Mobius' hero. Not to say I'm not grateful to be best friends with Sonic! Of course I am and he's my biggest supporter and pusher. But to be acknowledged that I have reason to give other inventors a run for their money, especially someone like me at the young age of twenty is enough to give me the boost I needed to put more time into my own interests. We all make time for each other still, that's the important thing. And when Eggman comes rolling in with his bots, we're all there to take him down every time. Still, Sonic and Amy together? If it's secret they're doing a bad job of it. So it can't be that. "Tails?" Twin tails bristling in surprise as my ears flattened to my head with guilt, I spun on my heel to face Amy. I'd been so caught up in my own thoughts I hadn't noticed that she was gone and heading my way. I felt my blood rush to my face. "What are you doing behind the crackers?" Amy's asked not unkindly as she smiled coming in for a hug. I accepted it gratefully, hoping it would give me enough time to cool my engines. When she pulled away I hoped my face was a little less red than before. "Um, hi!" I answered, looking around for an answer that I hadn't come up with in those few seconds. "I thought I'd heard Sonic's voice, but I must've just missed him," I sighed inwardly with relief for not lying. I had heard his voice and I had missed him. Half truth or not, I hate lying and Amy knows me too well for me to even try to get away with it. "I wasn't expecting to see him here." A full truth, I don't think I have ever seen Sonic go willingly shopping before, let alone with Amy. Not a statement I ever thought I would say about my two old friends. Friendly as they were when we were younger, it's most definitely on a different level now. Sonic has always respected Amy and the skills and support she's brought to our team. Did she make him a nervous wreck? Absolutely! Was she a bit of a mad fan girl in her early teens? Without a doubt. But she is and always has been an integral part of our team and a good friend to Sonic as well and Knuckles and me. We fear her hammer more so now than ever, but she's a formidable friend and her and Sonic have gotten a lot closer and more comfortable with each other as they've grown up. Not just because she's stopped squeezing him and demanding dates with him either. Amy blushed slightly as she said, "He caught me out trying a different tinned chilli so he wanted to come make sure I got the right one," Her eyes shone with humour as she said it, that part of the conversation between them was a part I had overheard. I didn't miss the openly - err - appreciative look she gave Sonic too when he asked if she was calling him fat. I almost gave myself away from my hiding spot when he demanded to know that. The idea of Sonic getting fat is laughable after-all; he has the metabolism off the charts. I'm aware he goes to Amy's for dinner on occasion. But now I wonder just how often. "You can't fool Sonic when it comes to his chilli dogs," I laughed, knowing that one myself first hand. "Lesson learned," Amy laughed with me before sighing in defeat and waving her list in the air. "I have to finish this shopping, I've got a list of errands to run still. But I'll see you soon for our night at Rouge's, right?" "Of course, I wouldn't miss it." I answered, thinking of Rouge's club we make the effort to meet up at once a month since she opened it's doors. In support of her own business venture that suits her perfectly, clichĂŠd as it may seem. A bat running a nightclub, who can be her own security if she wishes? It's a lucrative venture. She's incredibly popular for her own reasons, and she doesn't just open the doors for people to dance and drink. She holds fundraisers there too, supporting different charities. She's even held a few speed date nights too. They've proven to be very popular apparently. With us all being older now, it's nice to do something different. Something - normal. "Great! See you soon, Tails." Amy gave me a quick kiss to my cheek and dashed past me with her cart, leaving a subtle scent of her perfume behind in her wake. I shook my head as I watched her leave. I noticed one or two men watching her go too, much to her obliviousness. I ground my teeth and scowled when they turned back and caught my eye. My message clear as they ducked their heads and ignored me. I might be slightly younger than Amy, but I'm taller than her now and definitely don't appreciate her being ogled like that. She's like my sister. Even if I was kind of stalking her behind some crackers myself. Sighing because I was right back to that confused and curious state, I decided to grab what I came here for and get back to my workshop so I could disappear into the tornado again. If Sonic and Amy want to be together than great! I won't pop their bubble by bringing it up if they're not ready to tell people yet. Besides, it's taken them long enough. Damn stubborn hedgehogs.
Serendipity
'Love is friendship set on fire.'
Serendipity
Sonic the Hedgehog approached Amy Rose's house with the same neck breaking speed with which he goes everywhere. He stopped just short of falling through her open front door, grabbing on to the doorframe to uncharacteristically steady himself. His mind had been wandering while he was running and he wasn't expecting her door to be open when he arrived. The smell of fresh paint wafting from the house cleared his head though as he stepped inside without being invited and caught sight of his friend in cut off denim shorts, her tank top somehow streaked with paint along her back, her quills up in a haphazard ponytail.
She looked adorable and Sonic grinned as he tiptoed up to the pink hedgehog humming to herself while she rolled a paint brush across her lounge wall.
"Hello, Sonic," Amy Rose greeted him without turning around or stopping in her painting.
Sonic huffed as he stopped trying to Ninja his way to surprising Amy and casually went to stand beside her, admiring her handiwork thus far.
"Decorating again?" he asked pointedly, as it seemed that at least three times a year Amy got the bug for painting a new room. He was sure the lounge was still relatively new. "What's eating away at you this time?" Sonic turned his full attention on Amy, his mouth twitching at the cream paint spread across one cheek and smeared under her bangs. He waited for her to meet his gaze that she was avoiding as best she could.
Sonic knew that if she was pulling out the painting clothes, rollers and colour chart then something was gnawing away at his friend. Her restless energy being converted into her redecorating and 'revamping' her life as she has put it each time. He crossed his arms over his chest, waiting for her to look at him. His foot started tapping impatiently, a habit that has still stuck with him as he's grown up. His patience getting slightly better - just a touch - over the years. When Amy looked down at his foot and arched a brow at his tick she shook her head.
"I don't want to talk about it," she simply replied, turning back to her wall and cocking her head to the side to admire her mind numbing work.
Sonic frowned and wondered if it was worth pushing her to open up about what was bugging her. Another change and proof of his maturity, the fact he wasn't running out the door, but rather actively thinking about talking about emotions and stuff. With Amy Rose no less. But you see their friendship has changed a lot over the years. As have the two hedgehogs. There wasn't a defining moment that caused it, or an open conversation of feelings and thoughts. Just a simple passage of time that helped their friendship mature along with their personalities, into a deep respect and understanding for them both.
Sonic would even go so far as to class Amy as close a best friend as Tails.
Not something he would have thought would ever happen when he was fifteen.
Deciding to not push her on whatever was upsetting her, Sonic uncrossed his arms and nodded, respecting her want of privacy and knowing that if she did want to talk about it then she would come to him if and when she is ready. "Want some help?" he offered instead, bending to pick up a spare roller and liberally coating it in fresh paint. He looked up at Amy with a wicked grin and twinkle in his eye.
"Oh no," Amy panicked, taking a hesitant step back. "Oh no, put it down! No, no, NO!" Amy cried as she turned tail and ran from Sonic who charged her with the roller dripping with paint. Thankfully Amy had the foresight to cover everything in old sheets, including covering the floor, in the hopes that she would make minimal mess in her distracted cleaning state. She hadn't factored in a humorous Sonic and his need to cheer her up by the most messy way possible.
She tried to dodge out of the way of his attack but felt it impact her shoulder as she spun around -
And came face to face with a roller.
Gasping she blinked past her shock, noting the very pleased grin stretched across Sonic's muzzle as admired his handy work. "You missed a bit," he shrugged, swivelling the roller around in his hand carelessly, flickering paint in an arc in the process. The growl coming from Amy stopped him though as he in turn took a shaky step back. "Ugh, Ames, what are you doing?" he quivered, putting his roller back up like a guard.
Who was he kidding though? This woman knew exactly how to get him, she spent enough time chasing him in her early teens.
Amy dived at him without hesitation, anticipating his next manoeuvre and meeting him halfway with her roller streaking through his quills and running down his back. Sonic halted instantly, his shoulders tensing under the attack. When he looked up at Amy she wore an equally cocky grin as she planted a paint covered hand on her hip and winked at him. Clearly she's been spending too much time with me, Sonic thought to himself with only a touch of pride.
"Oh yeah," Sonic murmured darkly. "It's on now!"
Amy only had a second to squeak before the true battle started between them. For the next ten minutes they ducked and dived from each other as they dipped their rollers quickly and tried to smother each other in as much paint as possible. Coating much of the sheet covered furniture as they jumped over it, hiding and attacking. They laughed, growled and howled as they got shots at each other. Amy held her own really well against Sonic who cheated a couple of times, using his speed to his advantage. But by the end they were both pretty well covered and out of breath as they bent over, leaning on their knees to recover.
"Thanks, Sonic," Amy finally spoke once she could breath properly.
Sonic didn't have to ask what for, he already knew by the way her tone softened and her eyes sparkled slightly as she looked at him. Without hesitation Sonic stepped forward and wrapped an arm around her to pull her in for a hug. He planted a firm familiar kiss to the top of her head and said, "Anytime."
They stayed in that familiar embrace for a few more moments before Amy pulled away, smiling again in gratitude. As she turned away to look back at the wall she'd been interrupted painting, she willed her heart to slow down as she ignored the heat still searing her back where Sonic held her. Years of being really great friends with the blue blur and Amy still got the same tingles and heart racing thrill from him. Now it's such a normal feeling that she barely notices it sometimes. But times like now, when she was feeling a touch more vulnerable than normal and it became a little harder to ignore.
"Are you staying?" she asked Sonic as she rolled her brush in more paint and got back to the job in hand, already wishing it was done so she could go shower the paint out of her quills.
"I've got no where else to be," Sonic replied, getting stuck in to the paint with more eagerness than Amy expected. Smiling, happy to have the company, they worked side by side like that without hesitation and in a comfortable and easy silence. Both lost to their own thoughts as they rolled and rolled until they got the rest of the room finished in half the time it would have taken for Amy to do it alone. That was something Sonic cherished the most about his friendship with Amy - the silence. She didn't expect him to fill the void with mindless chatter, she just let him come and go as he pleased and didn't ask anything of him.
He felt the guilt and niggle of sadness that he hadn't realised she was as happy for silence and peace as he was back when they were younger.
They stopped as they met at the final wall and stood back, side by side and looked at their work. It was plain, just a generic cream that covered all of the walls. But Sonic knew it wouldn't take Amy long to brighten it with accessories, artwork and flowers. Interior design is what she's good at after-all. Even if she has never quite figured out what her own home style is yet.
They dropped their rollers and collapsed down onto the covered couch, their bodies pressed up against each other.
Sonic threw a casual arm across Amy's shoulders and she leaned her head down on his shoulder companionably. "You know Tails could have made you something that would have painted this room in no time." Sonic mentioned, his hand waving lazily in the air to gesture the room around them. He felt Amy shrug against him and mutter something unintelligible. Sonic nodded and sank more into the couch. "I know," he simply replied, unaware of how grateful Amy was that he just got it. Got her and understood what she was saying, without her having to say a word. It was a relief to be able to just shut down around him and not have it be questioned.
They sat there for a while, resting their aching hands and bodies. Before long though Amy heard Sonic's stomach rumble with hunger.
Laughing she didn't hesitate to get up from her spot on the couch, missing his warmth instantly, as she made her way to her kitchen. "Chilli dogs OK with you?" she smirked as she glanced over her shoulder catching Sonic's dopey happy reaction as he stretched out on the couch and winked at her.
"You sure know how to treat a guy." he grinned, rubbing his belly with anticipation.
Laughing Amy turned away and walked into the kitchen, this same song and dance between them so regular and familiar, she didn't even stop to think about what to do next. Her body and mind going into auto-pilot as she imagined the blissful hot shower that would come once lunch was finished. She didn't question whether Sonic would still be there when she walked back into the living room or if his staying to help her and having lunch meant anything more than a friend helping another friend out.
She just felt grateful to have him in her life at all, in whatever way she could get him.

A/N: I needed to get this idea out of my head. It'll be a multiple chapter story, hopefully I can do them justice. Thanks for reading. X
Confession | Sonamy Oneshot
It was a very tense night for Sonic and the Resistance. For weeks and weeks, theyâve fought hard and brave against Eggmanâs army and his superweapon, Infinite. In only a matter of six months, the doctor successfully either conquered or killed nearly every living thing on the planet. Although there were critical strides made by the Resistance, which included freeing Casino Forest and Aqua Road, they were hit with a sudden new wave of Death Egg Robots that attacked the City, seizing the entirety of the downtown area and quickly making progress to conquer the rest. The gang was running out of precious time.Â
On this particular night, the Resistance leaders held an emergency meeting and devised a spontaneous plan for Sonic, Buddy, and Knuckles to take down one of the Death Egg Robots closest to Red Gate Bridge, the only path that connected downtown to the rest of the City. There was only one problem: it was a defect, which led to an unstoppable rampage, barreling straight towards them and completely demolishing everything in its path. One false move, and death would be inevitable.
With only minutes before they had to set out, Sonic made his rounds all over HQ to check up on everybody. He was successful on making sure he got to everybodyâŚwell, except for one.Â

I needed this little distraction and what a wonderful one it was! I loved the characterisation, the intense feeling pouring off Amy and the writing. It was skilfully and brilliantly written. Iâd definitely like to read more.
Iâm sorry I havenât posted/written anything in a long while. I had every intention of writing some Christmas fics, but on 21st December my mum was taken into hospital. Sadly she passed away Christmas Day and Iâve been focusing solely on the next parts of that. Though Iâm eager for a distraction come the evening time when my thoughts wander, so if anyone has any Sonamy fics they want to tag me in or share please feel free!
Thank you. X
I know this is late, but here we go:)

A/N: So this idea came to me while I was watching England play on Tuesday. What. A. Game! I always say to my husband Iâm not watching it, itâs not my thing. But I always find myself watching at least the second half and getting into it, exactly like Amy does here. Hubby always comments that itâs funny listening to me and it sparked an idea. So here it is in all itâs unpolished, rushed glory. Because I needed to get it out and posted before England play again on Saturday. Thanks for reading! Love. x

Football on Mobius is very similar to any other planet. Where players kick a ball around a large amount of space, occasionally throwing themselves to the floor dramatically and running around like a crazed chicken when the small contraption lands in the back of a net. And Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are just like any other male enamoured by the sport that generally has them fixed to the couch, chips and dips in front of them and an inordinate amount of yelling at the television for ninety plus minutes.
âAh, c'mon ref!â Sonic the Hedgehog shouted, throwing his arm out towards the television in disbelief. Continued grumbles rumbled under his breath as he threw himself back into his seat, scowling at the lone figure on the screen flashing a coloured card at the player in red.
Tails and Knuckles shook their head, both equally glued to the screen and in agreement with Sonics distaste for the ref giving a yellow card to one of their players for reasons they deemed unfair. The air was thick with annoyance.
Amy Rose poked her head around the kitchen doorframe at the shout and rolled her eyes seeing the males in various forms of unrest as they watched the football. Slipping back into the kitchen she removed the frilly apron from her body and hooked it back to its spot on the wall. Picking up the plate of freshly baked cookies, she leaned forward and took in an appreciative sniff of chocolate doughy goodness. But the, âOhhhs!â from the living room soon snapped her out of her baked heaven daydreams.
Sighing she prepared herself to step back out into the lions den.
The guys didnât even look up as she strolled into the living room. âCookies are ready.â she told them as she placed the plate on the coffee table in front of them, being careful to not block anyones view of the TV as she did so.
Tails fell on the cookies first, very closely followed by Sonic and Knuckles. Not one of them graceful about the way they shoved the cookies in their mouths. She watched with pride as their expressions melted into baked goods heaven as they slowed their chewing and appreciated what they were eating.
âAmazing cookies, Ames.â Sonic grinned, winking at her as he reached for another one.
âBetter than the last lot,â Tails chorused, another two sitting in his lap while he started on the one in his hand. âSwo good.â he tried saying, spraying crumbs.
Amy giggled and cocked her hip to the side sassily. âThatâs what you said the last two times, Tails.â
âIt bears repeating,â the two tailed Kitsune grinned back at her.
Shaking her head at the way all three turned their attentions back to the TV, Amy made a move back to the kitchen to box up the left over cookies that would definitely not last the rest of the day. âNot sticking around for the game, Amy?â Knuckles called over his shoulder, his eyes not moving from watching the red players of their team running clear across the pitch with the ball.
âItâs not really my thing,â Amy answered on her way out of the room. She knew he wasnât paying attention to her anyway as heâd shifted to the edge of his seat, preparing to throw himself in the air if their team scored.
It didnât take Amy long to clean up the last bits in Sonicâs kitchen and she was back in the living room before she knew it. She stopped behind the couch, watching the screen for an opening to be able to say goodbye to the guys. But the more she stood there the more she became engrossed in the game. After all, itâs the Mobian World Cup! Not just any old football game. This was her country fighting to keep the ball and score against the other team. Amy has only followed the World Cup a few times in her life, the previous years their team not being as good as they couldâve been.
But this year was different. Whether itâs their new manager, the younger players or just the general high intense support from their fellow countrymen, they were doing well. Really well! So itâs been hard for her to avoid knowing whatâs been happening as they progress through the tournment.
Wincing, Amy shook her head at the opposing team being too harsh with their dirty tactics. âWhereâs his free kick?â she asked no-one as she frowned, throwing her arm out at the TV much like Sonic had done previously. âYes, great control with the ball. Did you see that move?!â she cheered, unconsciously moving from behind the couch to the free arm chair beside it. She wasnât aware of the guys watching her as she became fixated on the screen.
It was her eyes lighting up, combined with her sitting forward that had them quickly turn back to the screen as Amy jumped up from her seat and punched the air. âYes! That was a beautiful goal!â she cheered, over-powering the guysâ reaction to their team scoring a very well executed intention.
Once it calmed back down and the game played on, Sonic found himself flitting his attention between the game and Amy, more and more.
âCome on, come on - no! Ohhh, so close. That couldâve been amazing.â
âRef! Whyâs he getting a yellow card? He didnât do anything!â
âAw come on, that was barely a touch.â
âHe loves his headers, doesnât he?â
âUh-oh, theyâre getting desperate now! Theyâre trying hard to score.â
âYes! What a save!â
âTheyâre working well together arenât they?â she asked at one point, not really looking for an answer as Sonic tried not to laugh as Amy got more and more into the game. Knuckles and Tails didnât seem bothered by their pink companions running ad-lib. âI think Southgates doing a great job of leading them. I wouldnât want to be him though. The pressure on them all must be intense right now.â
Sonic sat back and watched Amy where she sat upright in her seat, her hands twisting in her lap the closer the final whistle came. Theyâre team were winning, but it didnât mean it was over yet. For now though, he was more interested in seeing the transformation in his Rose. Although it was a little distracting listening to her running commentary as she watched the game - her terminology was wrong and she got more irate than the guys did at the opposing teams dirty tricks - deep down, it just made his fondness for her grow more and more.
He could see the passion shining through as she got caught up in cheering on their team to go all the way.
The same passion heâs seen in her eyes when sheâs fighting by his side. Or when sheâs focusing on making his favourite meal and dessert. The same sparkle that she gets in her eye when he leans in for a goodnight kiss after one of their dates. She wasnât sitting there - oblivious to Sonic, Knuckles and Tails watching the same game - and fake cheering because she thought itâs what Sonic would want in a girlfriend. She was doing it because she genuinely cared about what was happening for their home team. Even if it wasnât really, âher thing.â
Amy joined in when the guys all cheered as the final whistle was blown and their team were declared the victors. Knuckles was jumping around the room, shouting, âItâs coming home! Itâs coming home!â
Once the energy had started to calm Amy blinked and looked around her like she had just realised what she was doing. Blushing slightly, she stood up to surreptitiously get her coat and make a quiet exit. But Sonicâs arms wrapping around her waist from behind caught her before she could sneak out.
âThanks for the cookies, Ames,â he whispered in her ear, kissing her gently on the cheek as she stroked his arms encircling her waist. âI shouldâve known youâd make a great football fan. After-all, youâve always been my biggest fan.â
Feeling Amy laugh made Sonic grin as she spun in his arms to face him. She reached up and laid her hand on his cheek gently.
âIâll always be your biggest fan, Sonic. But I think that will be taking a backseat if we continue to do well in the World Cup. I guess youâll have to learn a little patience for the next couple of weeks.â Amy grinned, kissing him lightly on the lips.
âSo long as you watch the rest of our games with me, Iâm sure Iâll manage. Theyâll be boring without your commentary.â he teased, winking at her playfully.
She swatted him lightly on his chest and pushed out of his arms, waving to him as she strolled down his path and headed for home. Sonic stood watching her until she disappeared from view, remembering her enthusiasm and fury as she watched the game. Chuckling he acknowledged to himself that he was looking forward to the next one, even if itâs just to watch Amy get het up over the smallest fouls and cheer like theyâve just won the World Cup each time they even try to score a goal.
He laughed ruefully to himself and stepped back in the house to Knuckles shouting in his face.
âItâS COMING HOME!â
A Scared Kiss
A/N: So this was a prompt in my tumblr inbox from an Affectionate Moments meme that was trending at the time. I wrote this before my daughter was born and somehow forgot about it! Needless to say Iâm quite rusty in the writing department not having the time or inclination until recently to write at all. But Iâve got the bug now and I just want to write allll the time. Even if its total drivel. So apologies for any grammar/spelling mistakes. Iâm uploading this before I bottle it or my toddler wakes up. Whatever comes first.
A Scared Kiss
The fine ash that was flurrying through the air and covering anything and everything around me on the battlefield made me choke and cough, my lungs burning with each breath I tried to take in. Tiny fire tipped needles pierced the inside of my neck and chest, my weak body heaving for oxygen. My eyes watered from the toxic embers dusting my eyes as I clumsily tried to wipe it free from my face. It was no good though, there was just too much of it. Too much destruction, too much taken away from us ⌠Too much death surrounding me now.
Too much âŚ
âAmes,â Sonic coughed near me, his normally strong, confident voice now sounding as weak and fragile as I felt.
I closed my eyes against the new onslaught of tears that had nothing to do with the ash in my eyes. If Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of Mobius, nemesis to Eggman could sound that weak then I knew it really was the end of everything. The end of Mobius, the end of foiling all of his half-hearted, hair-brained ploys of world domination. The end of us - the team that always saves the day, even in the nick of time with just seconds on the doomsday clock daring us to defy it. Because this time that clock had ticked past the final hour and had already started ticking into a different time. A time that would no longer include me, Knuckles, Tails, even Sonic.
Where did it all go so wrong? What didnât we do to prevent this? We always win, weâre the good guys! Itâs the way itâs always been âŚ
Until Eggman went from a little bit loony to full on crazy and the Chaos Emeralds fed that insanity to the point of where we are now. Scattered around a battlefield too painful to stare upon with the hedgehog I have loved for so long - too long - somewhere near me sounding as though even he, the strongest one of us all, had finally given up. Because if the blue blur has stopped believing, stopped fighting, then I have to. Itâs not as though Eggman really gave us much choice in the matter I guess. Most, if not all of the people I cared about and fought alongside have either scattered to the far reaches of Mobius to hide - what little good that will do them long-term - or theyâre somewhere on this battlefield, breathing their last.
And here I am, burying my head in my dirty, cut and bloody arms because I couldnât bear to look in Sonicâs direction and see the end.
Even if part of me wanted to go to sleep forever with the last image being of staring into his clear green eyes.
I coughed again, my whole body wracking with painful sobs because it just hurt so goddamn much to breath. My torn hands clawed at the black dirt, the substance coarse and brittle in my fingers. Eggman did this, destroyed the world so he could build his Eggman empire on the ashes of the dead, of the fallen heroes. But who is he going to rule now with the worlds population so dangerously low that you could only say extinction is on the near horizon? If I thought I had the energy I would have stood up and told Eggman just what I thought of him, one last time. Maybe even thrown a hammer at him for old times sake. But as another cough ended with blood splattering in droplets across the ground I knew that would never happen.
When did I become so tired? When did it become so hard to keep my eyes open?
âAmy,â I heard my name whispered again, stirring me from the light daze I slipped in to. âAmes, come back.â
Cracking my eyes open, the grit coating my lashes making them feel so heavy, I painfully turned my head to the side to make out the blurry, dishevelled figure of Sonic crawling on his hands and knees towards me. What was he doing, I wondered? Where was he finding the strength? The closer he got the more the blur morphed into a single figure and I could see him better. I winced, seeing the partly dried blood down one side of his face from a gash on his head. Surely he has some kind of concussion, the nurse in me queried. I stupidly thought how he shouldnât be moving with a head injury that bad.
It was enough to force me to pull my shaking arms and legs up underneath me until I was sitting up properly, breathing heavy as if Iâd just run with all my strength to keep up with the fastest thing alive. I didnât have the energy to wipe the grimy clammy sweat off my forehead, let alone question just how badly I looked as Sonic stopped in front of me, his chest heaving heavier than mine. Like moving through syrup I reached out a hand and laid it over Sonicâs, squeezing once with what little power I had for that one small movement.
But I was rewarded with the ghost of a smile I used to see a long time ago, before the war began. Even now, with so much annihilation around me it made my heart thrum in my chest, a small, answering smile accompanying his.
When it seemed he had enough breath to move, he collapsed into a sitting position beside me and I was able to look at him a little closer. His eyes were too glazed, I realised; his pallor too pale. So Eggman really had managed it at last; heâd finally gotten his ultimate goal, the destruction of Sonic - slow and painful as it was. As tired and tormented as I felt, tears fell from my eyes anyway. Dropping into my lap with big fat plops, darkening into splotches that blended in with the rest of the torn, dirty patches on me. I didnât care anymore, I didnât care if Sonic saw me cry, saw me giving up. Me, Amy Rose. The most optimistic one of us all.
What else did I have to hide from him? Weâve literally seen each other at our best and now, at our very worst, lowest points in our lives. Pride was long gone. That disappeared the moment we lost our first friend to Eggmans insanity.
âAw, Ames,â Sonic rasped, his brow furrowing causing more blood to ooze from his wound. He didnât seem to care, or maybe he just didnât feel it trickling down his face. I was still waiting for that numbness to take me over - I welcomed it.
Before today I would have looked away from the knowing look in his eyes as he gazed at me. A girl has to keep some secrets, right? But yesterday was a different day and today is the last so I didnât. I stayed there, gazing right back the tears still running down my sooty face and dropping to my lap where the hand that wasnât holding on to Sonics rested limply. I didnât hide anything from him, I let him see right through me.
âIâm so scared, Sonic,â I croaked, struggling to not cough with each word. Everything was starting to become severe effort - trying to find the right words, bracing myself with each indrawn breath of contaminated air. But as I spoke I realised how true they were, how scared I was.
But not for myself. I was scared for him, for whoever is left to run from Eggman, for what comes next.
Iâm scared because for once, we werenât enough.
Sonic bowed his head a little acknowledging what I was saying and what I wasnât. His glazed eyes darkened slightly with anger and sorrow. The mirrored emotions flitting across his face one after another as he gripped my hand a little bit tighter. Over time heâs learnt to read me as easily as I have him without the need for words. Iâm going to miss that, Iâm going to miss him and that terrifies me more than anything Eggman has done to us now.
âMe too,â Sonic whispered and his words didnât surprise me one bit.
I could feel it, I could feel our time slipping away from us and my heart rate sped up even more in fear. We couldnât look away from each other, we both felt it, we knew it as though the flames of destruction were warming our backs already, the end roaring closer and closer demeaning our heartbeats and our words if we spoke any. Our unconnected hands found the space between us without breaking eye contact, our bodies moving closer to each other as the fear overtook the pain riddling my body and replaced it with shadows that had me seeking out my hero one last time for safety.
Our lips came together in a slightly clumsy rush, the taste of copper from my blood or his filling my mouth but I ignored it as I sought out what I was looking for in Sonic. Protection from my fear, reassurance that itâs going to be OK even as I kissed him in a way that told him the same way. Our lips moved in a dance that has never been practiced, my first and last kiss with Sonic the Hedgehog on the ashes of a battlefield as our ends were getting closer and closer to us. I sighed at the feel of his lips pressed against mine, the magic of feeling my fear subside a tiny bit as a strong hand cupped my face.
We bared our souls to one another in that one last act, even as my hands clutched on to the soft fur of his arms to steady myself as his kiss swept away the last vestiges of pain and allowed me to lose myself to my hero. Our kiss subsided enough to stay as a prolonged meeting of lips as tears ran freely from my closed eyes. Sonicâs thumb lazily stroked across my cheek as he held me and we saw with our eyes closed that blinding flash of light that meant our time was finally up.
But I felt no fear. Only the comforting press of Sonicâs lips pressed against mine, carrying me awayâŚ
Dropping a Surprise Fic:)
I know itâs been a looooooong while, but itâs late and Iâm feeling inspired and sentimental so I thought Iâd surprise you all with a little somethinâ somethin!
Alright, here we go!
In Amyâs experienced opinion the absolute hardest thing about loving Sonic The Hedgehog was that he hadnât loved her back.
Yes, that had hurt.Â
Actually, it had slowly killed her.
So then why did she still love him? Why did she put herself through the hurt again and again?
She supposed it must be that she was addicted to pain.
Or, more accurately, she was addicted to Sonic.
Not sure how this escaped my notice, but I loved it! I was holding on to hope it wouldnât be a sad fic and I wasnât disappointed! đ Perfect read.
Reassurance
Amy Rose was a girl who followed her heart almost religiously, allowing it to lead the way throughout this journey called life. Was it her fault, then, that her heart kept leading her back to a certain blue hedgehog? She wasnât sure what it was about him that kept her coming right back into his embrace. Was it his cool confidence? Was it the sparkle in those gorgeous green eyes of his that had her heart swooning? Was it the smile that lit up his face and set her heart ablaze that kept her coming back for more?
She couldnât help but stare at him whenever they were in the same room, her gaze lingering on him longer than sheâd care to admit. Her heart raced a million miles whenever the sound of his melodious laughter filled her ears, a blush blooming on her cheeks as she tried to keep her composure.
As much as it hurt her, and love had a funny way of hurting people, intentional or not, Amy refused to abandon her heart and choose another path. She would never regret meeting Sonic. He was a fresh breath of air that ruffled the rose petals in the wind, and she would follow him down to the ends of the earth, if need be. And she certainly didnât regret falling in love with him. How could she ever regret giving her very heart to him?
It went without saying that Amy loved him dearly and truly, and she doubted that would ever change. Sonic may be rough around the edges, but she loved him just the way he was and wouldnât change a thing about him. He wouldnât be the one she loved if he changed, and she loved him as he was, even though it could be taxing on her at times.
Love wasnât without its fair share of challenges, but she could weather out the storm. And she knew her love wasnât nearly as one-sided as people thought it to be. Sonic showed his affections in the way he would hold her in his arms as he raced off wherever his feet carried him. The way his hand clasped hers or the way he would smile at her, his eyes twinkling like the stars littering the night sky, let Amy know all she needed to know. It was the little gestures that often spoke the loudest, after all.
What a simple and powerful read!! I loved reading this, it flowed beautifully and packed a punch. I love this ladies writing and hope you all enjoy this as much as I did.
