I want to ramble more about this fic yipee so here’s the (possibly) long post about it. Also spoilers below so if you want to experience the fic by yourself, please read it before proceeding~

(Forgot to mention that this is part of the IDOLiSH7 Valentine’s exchange 2026~)

There are a lot of screenshots from my draft (I initially planned to re-type it but I realized it might be too long..)

The initial idea was actually so simple compared to the actual fic because I just wanted to write Minami suffering from a writer’s block. As i re-read some stories to refresh my mind, I found that Minami didn’t actually say anything about them losing BorW except for calling Haruka’s name, which I found very interesting because maybe he was still dealing with the lost. After all, he did promise to win for the sake of Sakura Haruki

Hence, the whole trauma description was created~

Before finalizing the work, I actually had this scene in mind about the other three being confused of Minami’s sudden disappearance 

This was supposed to be the opening scene to set a rather mysterious tone, but I decided to cut it off to make the flow better (especially since I wanted to write from Minami’s pov) 

As opposed to my initial draft, the opening started with Minami and the ‘monster’ suffocating him. I chose to describe Minami’s trauma as monster because I remembered about Omori lol 

Minami’s first encounter with Torao in the fic is something I had fun writing as Minami saw a monster rather than someone close to him (Torao is too similar to Haruki sometimes so...) Torao being referred to “wounded beast” multiple times is actually a direct reference to Don’t Analyze Me because I just had to put that it (very biased bcs I like the song) 

Another minor change is actually Torao being pierced by the mirror. It was supposed to be Minami at first, but I switched it so we can see how Minami (despite fighting his own monsters) still cared about Torao, to the point that he talked about the Historangers band aid -> also an excuse for me to write about how Minami thinks about Torao even in such a small matter

Torao talking about running away is actually another reference, specifically to Minami’s wonderful octave spoken section, where he said something about running away can be necessary at times :D When i first wrote the fic, Torao was supposed to take Minami away that night, but I think taking Minami away while he was sleep deprived is not a good idea

There is also this conversation which is a reference to what Minami said on part 4, but i wasn’t sure where to put it so I deleted it

Fun fact: I wanted them to go to the beach but it was winter so I changed the setting into a house owned by Torao’s family (he could simply borrow it from his father so Zool can stay as long as they want). But maybe I can make a beach-themed fic one day...

On my first draft, I didn’t plan to write about Zool playing cards but I came across Haruka’s Twelve Hits’ RabbiTV and got inspired. Although the game wasn’t explained well, I think it is similar to TCG, maybe?? I don’t really understand but I just love the idea of them playing card games 

Torao suggested them playing cards instead of confronting Minami because he knew it would take some time for Minami to process his own feelings. It wasn’t because Minami tried to push everyone away, but he was also suffering from the inability to admit how vulnerable he was. 

There is also a scene I cut that took place during Torao’s “love confession” 

I tried my best to cut some scenes because the fic’s length is getting concerning and I was running out of time--the flow wouldn’t be smooth either if I put this scene

Minami reacting negatively upon receiving the ‘love letter’ from Haruka and Touma is mostly influenced by how he was scared he couldn’t reciprocate their feelings properly. Minami wasn’t able to write songs, after all (something he really put his pride on). He didn’t feel this way toward Torao because he was the most similar to Minami, and often puts other feelings before him. That’s why he could become more vulnerable in front of Torao

At the end of the story, although Minami’s monster waved him goodbye, he wasn’t free from his trauma. From my very first draft, I didn’t plan to make Minami instantly bounce back to his usual self. The trauma was still lingering there, proven by how he couldn’t talk to Haruka and Touma yet about his feelings. There was also no discussion about Minami continuing to compose music, as I think he would need more time to properly face his feelings. The main point that Minami understands is that the others would wait for him, no matter how long it takes. Therefore, he can take as much time as he needs to confront his past.

But yeah! That’s basically my long thought process behind the fic!! It was really fun since I usually write more from Torao’s pov or just focus on Minami being playful

I’m so happy with how this turns out and I hope this can be an enjoyable experience for everyone as well :D

So hey!! I make a toramina new year fic although it's already 3 January here

Initially, I only planned to write around 1k-1.5k words but oops I think I enjoyed writing this a bit too much

While working on the fic, I sent this passage to my oomf and they said this paragraph reminded them of a particular meme so I decided to recreate the meme

DECENNIUM ToraMina Drabble

They've been inside my mind for days but i couldn't sit and write since i was attending my graduation ceremony so here's a slightly late drabble to fulfil my own craving lol

“So?” The brunet cleared his throat, nervously adjusting the tip of his hair repeatedly. With Touma and Haruka’s departure to join the photoshoot, the dressing room was almost empty–leaving Torao and his lover for the nth time together.

Said lover, on the other hand, was sitting calmly on the other side of the room, eyes focusing on his own reflection as he retouched his makeup.

“Hey Minami,” the older one called once again, this time finally earning a reaction from his lover.

There was a split second of silence before the young composer softly hummed–an angelic tune Torao would put as his ringtone, honestly.  Minami shifted his gaze, his attention landing toward the older idol standing just a few inches before him.

And oh, it was one of the rare moments where he found himself at a loss of words. The usually creative Natsume Minami, proud composer of ŹOOĻ, couldn’t even begin to describe the guy standing there with his signature grin.

“Oh dear,” he gasped, tilting his head to the side.

Torao grin widened naturally, expecting lots of praises coming later on. “Does it suit me?”

“I wonder,” he teased, trying to drag the conversation a bit longer–so typical of the young composer. However, nothing could deny the fondness of his smile as he stood up to approach his lover. “You are as beautiful as always, Mido-san, but I couldn’t help but feel something is lacking.” His slender fingers glided dangerously close to Torao’s face, a silent invitation without any words needed.

Torao felt the heat rising almost immediately. The dressing room was supposedly chill, especially with how the weather had been lately. However, the older idol felt heat creeping between his cheeks as he leaned unconsciously against Minami’s touch. His left hand instinctively found its way to his waist, gripping just enough to hold the blonde in place. “Care to explain?”

The delicate touch on Minami’s waist was the only approval he needed. “I prefer direct demonstration.” That was his only cue before the blond closed the gaps between them, lips slotting naturally between one another. His taste was undeniably sweet against Torao’s lips. The older one was prepared to push his lover gently before said idol broke the brief kiss. “There, perfect.”

Minami took a step backward, admiring the view presented in front of him. The way Torao’s cheeks flushed in a deeper shade of red just by the proximity earlier. A small chuckle left his lips, clearly enjoying his reaction. The figure standing before him was no longer a shadow of his lingering past, but rather the man he loved so dearly–his anchor during stormy days, his lights during the darkest night.

It took Torao almost a minute before the young man regained his composure. His arm immediately reached out toward the younger idol, determined to get more than just a chaste kiss. “Wait, that’s not fair–!”

His palm was quickly greeted by Minami’s cold touch–a stark contrast to the rising heat between them. “We can indulge in this ‘private matter’ after the photoshoot, correct?” 

Torao gulped, noticing the playful wink Minami directed to him–a silent promise of an exciting day after the photoshoot.

Today I present to you my very rough idea about Princess Minami in Floral Prince AU! Pose is taken directly from Ibis Paint asset because I didn't want to spend hours figuring out the proportion (sorry)

For those who are unfamiliar with Floral Prince, it's taken from one of A3! plays (Summer Troupe 6th play) >< I just wanted to see Minami in a dress so we get Minami as Rose (ref attached on the same picture)

So maybe, just maybe, I will draw Torao as Florence next because we need a prince, right....

Yet another ToraMina fic. I initially have two endings for this particular fic and asked my friend to choose for me. I will ramble a bit about the other ending here~

The idea is the same except there will be no mention of Sakura Haruki throughout the fic. Minami will keep teasing Torao, their lips almost touching with each other before Minami completely pulled away

I imagine Minami will say something like, "Fufu, we should wait until we're home, Mido-san~" before leaving a groaning Torao behind for his photoshoot
