birthday boy ❤️🐉
let’s have bug autism with papa
im actually laughing over the fact that we got a sabo appearance first before an ace appearance in the live action. ace is not outright mentioned but discussed over. meanwhile sabo's just standing there. menacingly. wondering who tf is that kid his boss just saved.
"he's my last son..."
the way maekar said it is just heartbreaking. daeron is a drunkard almost driven mad by his dreams, aerion is a lost cause, and aemon is sent away to the citadel despite his objections.
aegon is his last chance at fatherhood. but in the end, he too is lost to him. despite their flaws, maekar truly loves his sons.

“most burdened with high expectations fail to reach the top.”
portgas d rouge, the woman that you are
an interesting parallel i noticed between dragon and ace is that dragon achieved ace’s dream— to have his name known by the world, surpassing even his father’s.
they both rebelled against their blood but it is only dragon who succeeded. history will see him as dragon the revolutionary and not as dragon garp the hero’s son. while ace never truly escaped roger’s legacy. he died for the crime of being the pirate king’s son and will be forever branded as such.
17 y/o luffy meeting 17 y/o dragon is either gonna be miraculous or disastrous
something about garp choosing to let dragon go after what they witnessed at god valley. unlike garp who's in too deep, dragon is still young and he can start over and pave his own path. because if garp forced his son to stay with the marines, dragon would certainly get himself killed.
garp, who never approved of dragon becoming a revolutionary, but fully understanding the reason behind it. after all, a child is their parent's weakness.
when your son has seen the horrors™
garp rejecting roger's offer of joining the crew since he’s got a kid who also enlisted as a marine to follow in his path of justice. because if garp’s resolve wavers, and he ends up as a pirate, just who can dragon look up to?
but sadly, garp is unaware that he can’t protect dragon anymore as his son already witnessed first hand the atrocities of the organization that proudly carries false justice behind their backs
in just a matter of a few hours, we got dragon loading up tranquilizer darts not wanting to hurt the civilians to 'fuck it we ball' as he shoved the gun at his superior's face and threatened to execute anyone opposing on saving the survivors.
this is what losing two babies does to a mf.
at first glance, iñaki and xolo could easily pass as brothers. but if you look closer, you'll start noticing the differences. that's why they're literally so perfect as luffy and ace
his hands were tainted with so much blood yet the uniform remained too white and orderly
