The shoe is Nancys and I found her shoes so hard to draw😭 like girl is wearing flats this shouldn’t be hard!! But I did it and I’m proud of the outcome! Once again Nancy is being evil and it’s her shoe because she just puts sissy down a lot like more than anyone else

Sissy is itty bitty because unlike the rest of the family she doesn’t have a big presence (I don’t wanna go on a sissy ramble again bc I’m tired but it kinda goes into the one I already did!)

The petals scattered on her are blue bonnets! Once again I wanted to draw them because they’re from Texas but I read somewhere while getting references for them that they represent bravery and sacrifice which I feel like fits 😔

YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? Time for me to ramble because I can’t sleep!

Okay maybe I’m rambling about the game because it’s going off game pass and I’m so scared to lose it because like it’s a big hyperfixation for me and i might just die… BUT ANYWAYS

I’ve started to think about sissy because like her relationship with the family is kinda sad in my opinion. You have this girl who ran away probably out of rebelliousness or a yearning for freedom. because how I see it, sometimes the members of the sawyer family don’t get a chance to go outside and be a person so obviously when this kid gets the taste of the outside from things like the radio or mentions of it from other family members that kid would want the real deal.

So time goes by and sissy gets involved with a cult, drugs, and murder (if she was involved with the Manson family then obviously all three go hand in hand) but despite that she’s still a sawyer so there’d be some back and forth between family and freedom.

She kinda has a similar situation to Johnny in my eyes. For Johnny it’s “he’s not truly a sawyer but he needs to make up for it in order to be one” but for Sissy it’s “she’s not like the other sawyers but she wants to feel important like one”

I’m kinda getting all this from the way she interacts with the other family members and the way they act with her. Like why tf is hands running all over her flowers when realistically he wouldn’t do that to Nancy, how come Johnny gets to go around and do his shit and not get as much problems when he comes back but when sissy leaves and comes back everyone gives her shit for it?. Like the only family member she seems close with is Nubbins and fucking Grandpa. To be a woman is to preform ig

Sissy is strong and smart in her own ways ofc but that doesn’t mean she craves something. like maybe she doesn’t yearn for freedom now as she’s an adult but maybe she yearns for the freedom from all the ridicule and indifference? (I swear to god you’ll never see me use these words when I’m writing about something actually important)

Okay quick little yap about these drawings!

THE SECOND LADY IS HOW I THINK JOHNNYS MOTHER WOULDVE LOOKED LIKE!!

DONT GET ME WRONG JOHNNY IS A EVIL GUY! But I genuinely think about those times where he has regrets or weak moments, thinking about the life he could’ve had if he wasn’t taken as a child.

Kinda chose the song “Forwards beckon rebound “ mainly for that line! The way I interpret it to his story is obviously the “Villain and Violent” being Nancy and her actions, and his mother Judith as “infant and innocent “ since she didn’t know any better when it came to Nancy plus I imagine she was a very sweet lady. The next line being “both arms cradle you now” just gave me the idea that “oh they’re both his mothers either way so and he’s their son “ He is his own person yes but he learned his actions from Nancy but still has the heart of Judith (if that makes sense? )

Anyways the animals were obviously a snake and a rabbit but a little idea I had was to make it species that are from Texas because I thought it would be a missed opportunity not to. So the snake is a copperhead and the rabbit is an eastern cotton tail!

For “both arms cradle you now” the animals are attached the Johnny in some way, the snake wrapped around his neck and the rabbit sitting on his shoulder. The snake represents Nancy (ofc) and it’s wrapped around his neck because she taught him the violence and aggressiveness and plus she’s always at his neck for something.

The rabbit representing Judith is just sitting there on his shoulder because even in death she’s still his mother so it’s reasonable to say she’d always be watching him. (Nothing to specail for that one sorry 😔)

Hello hello sorry I haven’t been active! There’s really three explanations I have, 1. I’m not enjoying this platform anymore and I do forget about it a lot 2.Im fixing my old iPad! I’ve been using my dads iPad for so long as my old one has been broken and lost for a while but now that I’ve found it I brought it in to be repaired and should be getting it soon 3. Idk if I have or haven’t said this before but my art motivation is lacking and I honestly haven’t been enjoying the TCM game as much the only reason I’ve been drawing things about it is mainly for my friends. Now with all that I’m not really leaving Tumblr but I won’t be as active on here for now!
