i do see grace as aroace which is why i care so much about gracerocky (as something not just platonic.) whether it be queerplatonic, or something that places grace more on the spectrum, it does really encapsulate an otherness...the non-human nature of rocky emphasizes grace's disinclination towards other humans, and shows that whatever grace feels is beyond the typical bounds of human sexuality.

personally i project him being very demi, and rocky being the first significant connection he's had...and it emphasizes the importance of that connection to foster attraction, not body or looks or anything. but even in a queerplatonic sense, i like to imagine grace as choosing rocky as a partner. it's not just devotion in friendship, it's the idea that rocky is his person for whatever future he may have. grace being a significant parental figure to rocky and adrian's pebbles, etc.
