Well, shit, that wasn’t how things were supposed to go... and it seemed that Peter Quill was only digging himself deeper into a hole at the moment, “Kitty! The mark was at a bar! I had to get a little tipsy to pull off the con... you should know how we outlaws roll by now!” she never used his full name, unless she was absolutely pissed off... and it didn’t sit right with the space cowboy whatsoever.
Silence fills him, as if standing there in shame, before reaching into his jacket to produce the most hideous yet adorable plush of an Abilisk, “I got you this little guy...” Quill playfully sways the peace offering back and forth, hoping to elicit a smile from his beloved, “...I really am sorry, Kitty.”
He takes a step forward, trying to close the distance once more... he was going to make up for tonight as best as he possibly could.
❝ sooo glad you totally take one thing mildly seriously. ❞ she says, throwing her hands in the air before her arms cross. really -- was hard to just settle for one day where they could be a couple and just celebrate them ? it was their anniversary ! he could take a day off !
kitty isn't looking at him as fingers tap on her arm, thinking about what else she could say or if she should just go to her room... or maybe find another place to sleep for the night. but she looks over at the toy, eyebrows still furrowed. she takes it in her hands before she stares at it. it was silly and completely hideous... she still was angry at him, but -- it was enough. for now.
she leans against him, head resting on peter's chest before her arms fall to her side. ❝ i wouldn't have minded not having the stupid dinner, but... i really just wanted to spend my day with you. ❞
kitty was reading a book she brought with her -- honestly, she should have brought more, but what can you do when you leave earth in a hurry to save your long-distance boyfriend across galaxy ? you didn't really have time to grab the things you need. especially when you decide to remain out in space with him.
she had been leaning against him as she focused on the book she's probably read a thousand times at this point, just happy to be comfortable in peter's arms... she missed home, but she loved being able to sit with him like this.
the words reach her ears and her head turns to look at him. there's a look of slight surprise on her expression. not because she wasn't expecting them, but how easily and lovely those words rang through her head. she almost felt like crying. geez, she was always overly emotional... she turns her body towards him, cupping his cheek as she stares at him, her eyes fighting back tears, ❝ i love you too, peter. i love you so much. ❞ she replies before leaning over to seal her words with a kiss.

Peter really didn’t have a good excuse, like what was he supposed to say? The truth? ‘Hey babe, sorry I skipped out on our anniversary dinner; I got stopped by Nova Corps and interrogated about a missing space llama!’ she would never buy that and probably be even angrier at him... what a difficult situation Quill found himself in.
“Kat, I’m sorry.” the space cowboy reaches out in hopes of taking her hand, he’s really gonna give this the ol’ college try, “But if I told you... you wouldn’t come anywhere close to believing me!” he managed to take her hand successfully for the time being, though he couldn’t help but feel as though that was going to be heavily short lived.
It didn’t help that there was a clear hint of alcohol on his breath... this could only go south if he didn’t play his cards right.
kitty had planned this night for a while now -- it was a special evening ! and now she had wasted credits on some dingy food that didn't taste good -- and there was no one that was around to hear her vent about the situation. ( which everyone was in the right to avoid her. kitty wasn't the nicest when she was pissed off )
❝ so you're not even going to try to come up with some excuse, ❞ she huffs, half tempted to just smack him and walk off. he takes her hand, and she almost wants to hold him... he really did have a sorry face. kitty loved peter -- but sometimes she wishes he took their relationship as seriously as his job.
as she moves closer to him, it was like her anger almost died out -- before her nose catches the smell of alcohol on his breath and the flames were reignited -- quickly she pulls away from him, taking a step back. ❝ ugh -- seriously, peter quill ?! ❞

It was a relief that Kitty was so into the moment like he was, even to the point of outright not protesting him rejecting the incoming transmission... he always knew there was a rebellious side to her, even when they first met all that time ago.
Quill feels frisky, rising from his seat yet not once breaking the hold on either Kitty’s frame or her lips; he walks forward towards the common area, wasting zero time in laying the former X-Men atop the holo-table. His kiss grows rougher, less refined, before hands eagerly pulling her shirt upward until tossing it aside like an unwanted toy.
The newly exposed skin excites him, kisses begin being planted with precision down her neck, her torso, her abdomen... coming to a halt where skin and pant meet before reversing the process, eventually prodding his tongue for entrance past her inviting lips.
The outlaw soon finds his tongue dancing elegantly with that of Kitty’s, a hand gently cupping her jawline as the other began slithering south like a snake in tall grass.
kitty is surprised but doesn't object to being carried and placed on the table. she moved her arms above her head to help peter remove the shirt off of her. he was right… it was starting to get hot in here. and as much as she liked wearing the captain's clothes, she much enjoyed it when he takes it off her.
there's a wave of pleasure that goes through the more peter moves down. breath is heavier in anticipation as he hovers on her waist… oh how she wants him to pull off the garment so he can explore more of her body… but she'll take what she's given as her mouth opens enough to allow his tongue entrance.
as she feels his hand snake down again, kitty pulls away from the kiss, just enough for her to speak, ❝ quit teasing me, peter, ❞ she hisses before pulling him into another kiss, lips already starting to swell, but she has no plans on stopping, ❝ i want you to touch me. ❞

somewhere between gotg2 to iw, kitty joined the guardians. she gets along fairly well with the guardians, as she's pretty positive and easy to get along with. after the blip, kitty was part of the half that remained. after working with tony, nebula, and rocket to make it back to earth, kitty remains there for the time being, trying to help out with the remaining x-men.
she kept in communication with those she was able to and offered her assistance during the fight with thanos.
There was something serene about Kitty’s voice, he could listen to it for hours on end if she wanted and he’d never grow tired of hearing it; nor did he grow tired of the feeling that came when he held her figure tight in his arms... or in this case, tight atop his lap.
Naturally, his hands grow devious, snaking their way upward beneath the confines of the Pac-Man t-shirt she had stolen from his drawer; thumbs coming to a rest just below where skin and brassiere meet, “I could get used to this...” he snickers, carnal excitement and desire beginning to slowly but surely envelop his being.
INCOMING TRANSMISSION: KNOWHERE
How audacious it was to call during such a passionate moment of intimacy between the two; it was a gesture that would be swiftly met by Quill reaching over with a single hand and moving the slider towards the REJECT option. No, the galaxy would be fine for a half hour as the star-crossed lovers had a reprieve to themselves...
Not wanting to soil the moment, the space cowboy would smash their lips together once more; this time more raw, tapping further into those primal desires that had been looming mere seconds ago.

back arches a bit as his hands roam, not stopping them when they go underneath the shirt she stole. there was something about peter's clothes that was just so comfortable. and not to mention it captured his scent perfectly. it was so comforting -- she would wear his shirts all the time if she had the choice.
there's a hum as she feels the rough fingers on her skin, arching her back into the touch before her attention is snapped to the communicator that goes off... but she watches as peter rejects the call. she's about to speak, wanted to tell him that their meeting could wait until _later_, but...
you know, kissing peter was a much better option. not to mention a lot more exciting than what mission would be waiting for them. it could wait a few moments. she's back to wrapping her arms around his shoulder, pressing their bodies closer together, a small moan as she does so.
