Hello! Not sure if you are on tumblr anymore, but I just frenzy read all the books and im just getting pumped for the last installment!! I was just wondering how did you decide everyones blood scents?

I AM BACK. For now, at least.

And the blood scents--what a fun question! No one has ever asked me that before, I don't think.

I usually pick some core memories or pieces of their life that defined them. Which is also why those scents can change--Ragnor's, eg, has changed from when Aeduan was a boy to present day.

Or Hell-Bards all share a somewhat similar layer to their bloods because of that horrific experiment of being bound to the Loom.

Hi, Sooz! I was wondering if Iseult is a weaverwitch and not a threadwitch would she surely have a daughter or could she have a son as well?

She can have a son. Threadwitches can have sons! They don't have any natural genetic reason they would only have daughters...

But if they DO have daughters, those daughters are often Threadwitches as well.

Except, of course, Iseult isn't necessarily what her mom expected.

Heart-Threads don't carry through--they're a choice, not a fated love match.

So while Baile and Bastien loved each other in the past, the modern incarnation of Bastien loves a certain Sightwitch...

Hi! This question comes from my girlfriend (she’s the best and huge fan of yours since I got her addicted to the Witchlands). She noticed that Aether witcheries and Void witcheries all control abstract things or things that aren’t really physical. But bae pointed out that Aeduan’s witchery controls something very physical and real, not like other Void witcheries at all. She and I would love to know if this is subtle hinting that Aeduan isn’t a Voidwitch but instead a forgotten and rare subset of Waterwitchery. We’re both so excited for book five!!!
