I hate receiving a gift card as a gift (in place of a different gift) as in my mind it has two irredeemable qualities:
1. Lack of Effort & Care
Even gifts cards suited towards my interests seem very shallow — good gift giving requires more deliberation.
2. Depreciating asset
A gift card is supposed to just be money, but mine sit minimum 2 months unused, some years. The price of things goes up in that time; and with the money being locked to a certain store you basically have them money for a service they haven’t yet provided that will be more expensive later.

one thing i love about shen jiu is that people assume the worst of him so you have his wholesome relationship with yingying demonized, and him trying to save liu qingge is seen as a murder attempt so you'd think "surely his abuse of binghe was a misunderstanding like everything else" but thats the one part where shen jiu genuinely tried to murder a 14 year old

I encountered the name Stark in a MCU fan fiction and I was so confused why Eddard Stark was in the MCU for a solid few seconds. I’ve realized my folly, but now that I think about it someone has to have made an AU where these families are somehow intertwined.
I know he probably will but what if Jon Snow doesn’t resurrect. Like wouldn’t that be crazy.
