LUCIDS was not my special interest for almost a year, now it's back and I'm not as happy about that as I thought I would be. TRYING to separate myself from the 2023 discord incident, I thought I was ready for a server of strangers going up to 26 years old but I wasn't - and for that I am eternally embarrassed but I'm not going to act like that wasn't me. Other than that, im just chillin in cedar rapids.

Hey so do you guys think memory Quinn like...retains aspects of the baby Quinn?? Like, I don't mean being incontinent or unable to drink water, more like small things. Like if you were to pick him up (as tall as he probably is and assuming you were absolutely gigantic), would he still scrunch up? Does he have very sensitive skin, a vulnerability to eczema or a tendency to touch his face to self-soothe? Does he have a bit of an oral fixation, in which he may insist getting the feeling of " hm yes this person is a pacifier " is common?

But what I wonder the most, does he have a very distant, unreachable memory of being a baby? Does his body remember being held and rocked and kissed, that feeling of warmth and safety and nourishment coming from a much bigger source? What felt like an extension of his tiny body at the time, now faceless and pulseless? If so, does he ever ache for that - not necessarily for his mother - but just for the feeling of being cradled, and to what extent of it is a result of the sudden rejection from that same furnace of seemingly boundless love? Or maybe he literally does remember, he does say he ' found out ' he was in Mrs. Hills' dreamscape so who's to say he doesn't I suppose.

I'm asking because I'm starting to write fanfiction again after a year and want to start sharing my work, and this is usually the way I write Quinn - with these overt, but suspiciously baby-like quirks. I haven't seen anyone else ask this question or headcanon it as I do, so I want to genuinely ask this question like as a " how tf do memories work in this series " theory and also to ask if y'all would read my strangely literal fanfics. Therefore, PLEASE INTERACT WITH THIS POST IF NOTHING ELSE.

Since my last post flopped ( probably because it was long ), I thought I'd share something shorter I made involving LUCIDS characters and what animal vibes they give me!!

There's patterns to some of these, and then others are like totally random?? Like I dont...know why I chose such bizarre animals at times?? If any of the names for the animals are wrong, then I could not for the life of me get a specific answer on what subtype of species that one was.

Question : If Benjamin can be woken from the dreamscape by someone in his own reality, does that mean there’s a scenario where Oliver and Benjamin are just hanging out and then Benjamin suddenly snaps awake back home, leaving Oliver stuck with his reality’s Benjamin who's all confused?

#IN A WAY. In the finale of LUCIDS, Oliver asks Benjamin if he's dreaming ( because he's awake in that moment ) and it causes him to go from slightly stilted, but aware of his surroundings speech to his autopilot mode literally instantly. This, along with the fact that Jasper said he'd been visiting Benjamin for weeks - it had only been about a day in Benjamin's reality - and that would mean that Benjamin had the ability to answer his door while awake. If Benjamin IS awake in this situation, he wouldn't exactly show any signs of it besides looking a little zoned out, but will not retain memories of what's happened in his dreamscape upon return. If I understand this question correctly, you're asking if the Benjamin in Oliver's reality would become confused, and the answer for that would explicitly be not until falling back asleep. Oliver could continue to interact with Benjamin just fine, that is to say if he doesn't ask him if he's dreaming. I know someone else already answered you, but I wanted to compact it more into a smaller, more canon respondent answer :)

I lost contact with LUCIDS almost a year ago, since then I've been all about Portal, The Good Place, and the East Rail 177 Trilogy, but my brain randomly decided to go back to my roots all of a sudden a few days ago??
