“  you  act  like  you’ve  never  seen  a  chocobo  before  !  ”  her  hand  slowly  pets  the  large  bird  with  ease.  a  soft  ‘kweh’  erupts  from  the  birds  curved  beak  in  response  happily.  “  they  aren’t  aggressive  ..  unless  you  are  mean  to  them  or  something.  ”

she’s right in this; boromir has never seen a chocobo- they seem a pleasant sort of creature as she speaks, a smile crossing the captain’s face at the peculiar sound. he finds he has no other animal to compare it to- and for the first time in quite a while, he finds that he does not mind not knowing. 

“ i would not dream of acting cruelly to your bird- ” 

“ i was simply curious- as you are right, i have never seen a chocobo before. most animals that appear large enough to ride where i come from are horses- ” and, of course, he knew of the eagles- although he could not imagine it to be a wise idea to ride them- “ may i pet him? ”

ok ok skyrim verse bare bones

boromir is from solitude and is a captain of the imperial legion

he’s just having a real time because there’s so much going on??? he doesnt trust this treaty as far as he can throw it??? 

what he wants is the adjacent of glory of gondor restored 

but why should that involve having to fight with the stormcloaks like hello GET PERSPECTIVE there’s a bigger issue (it’s the thalmor, boromir isn’t dumb he knows exactly what cutting out a huge part of people’s culture can do, and so he gets that the stormcloaks are mad, hell, he’s mad too, but uhhh infighting won’t FIX ANYTHING)

otherwise things are basically the same except it’s skyrim and not lotr lmao i will polish this eventually

my uncle sent me a bunch of jazz songs to sing at a musician’s party and im like oh boy i havent performed since high school and ella fitzgerald and billie holiday are both really high bars to set but OKAY here we go i have until december 10th 

for reference, i CAN sing, so i can manage im just like i’m usually a classical singer or i do showtunes, so jazz is out of my comfort zone so u know gotta prep

in a single reply i have thrown in like way more concepts that i havent explained here and also revealed that boromir’s issue is he isn’t grasping that the hobbits are GROWN ASS ADULTS he’s truly never seen a hobbit before and also evidently pippin is wearing faramir’s clothes from childhood when he gets to minas tirith or something and boromir is just like. not grasping this at all and so of course he’s mad, he’s seeing this like “we decided to send a child to war” bro frodo is older than u by 10 years
