well, that was unexpected. stefan couldn't recall ever celebrating valentine's day, so this was something memorable for sure, to say the least. ❛ of course. ❜ even if he wasn't too sure what being a valentine entailed. ❛ does this mean i get to feed you the cupcake...? ❜ he'd certainly enjoy doing that over eating it by himself.

stefan wasn't too sure if elijah would have enjoyed anything for valentine's day. they weren't even... quite at that stage yet and still, he wanted to try and give them something. show some appreciation for the latter and all they had. ❛ i wasn't sure what to give you... i thought chocolates would've been too... plain. ❜ he admits, reaching up to adjust the collar of elijah's shirt. ❛ i had thought of a new suit, but i also wasn't sure you'd like that from me. ❜

She's just watching him. All the love she has swelling up in her chest. Something so simple like seeing him there reading is enough to make her remember how in love with him she is.

She came in here to tell him happy valentines day, but instead she's going to just... watch him be at peace for a little while longer.

it's impossible to not notice her presence when it fills the room entirely, even with her standing at a distance. after a few moments of silence, stefan's gaze lifts from the book in hand, straight to where she was standing, and he offers a small but genuine smile. ❛ can i help you, mrs. salvatore? ❜ he could have added the 'soon-to-be' but it simply didn't feel right to do so when they already felt so much more than 'soon-to-be' husband and wife. he holds out his hand in her direction, a silent request for her to come closer.

( sms ) : of course it is

made her smile that he was looking out for her enough to distract her from the chaos surrounding them.

( sms ) : well , I'll see about changing that , live a little - you only live for as long as you want?

didn't quite have the same ring as you only live once - but vampires could live 9 life times if they wanted to.

( sms ) : turn the heater on , I'm coming down.

stefan stares at the message as it comes through. 'you only live for as long as you want'. quite the statement she'd made there. he did have an indefinite amount of time to live, and yet he felt like he was barely doing so. he turns on the heater as requested, and glances out the window watching as she comes out to join him. with the door to the vehicle opening, stefan offers a small smile and greets her. ❛ thought we could use the drive. ❜ he admits, hand on the wheel, the other one the gear stick waiting for her to settle down.
