Short-Bio: Hi my alias is Stella, I am a 22 year old student from Germany and a great Stargate-SG1 geek with a bit of an obsession over Tok'ra related topics and my great fictional lovies Martouf and his symbiote Lantash who never died in my books! I'm not a Jack or Sam/Jack hater but his later season's attitude is a bit of a heated topic for me and don't get me on the general Tok'ra writing! Martouf's death is bascially the '101: How to make a character's sacrifice completly useless and meaningless! and (edit) completly blurp on it.'
That's basically why I got into writing fanfics as a little side hobby although I don't fix his death episode persee I am writing on an AU that makes it basically redundant. A little safe space for them. But if they get hurt it's out of love. 😄
IMO the reason Jack and Daniel share a braincell is because when they're around each other all the other braincells become occupied with repressing Gay ThoughtsTM.
understandable (American moment) why Stargate sg1 never touched anything christian or whatever but it would've been hilarious if Jesus was like a tok'ra or something. Just a really chill alien. Idk man.
They explicitly do in the Sokar arc episode “Demons.” Sokar masquerades as Satan to enslaved early Christians. You can argue the whole Sokar arc is allusion to Christianity. As Daniel says, “For all intents and purposes, he was the original Satan.”
In my ideal alternate universe where the writers actually had ideas for Sha’re and she gets to move to earth, the first thing she does is demand the education the goa’uld so long denied everyone on abydos.
And Daniel is like well of course. We can work on getting you a GED— and she’s like no I want one of the fancy ones like you have. A graduate degree. I know it will take years which is why I wish to start now.
And he’s like well you’ve got a natural talent for language and you already know a language descended from ancient Egyptian, you could pursue Egyptology—
And she’s like no I don’t need one of your credentials to be an expert on my own people. I want to know what your people know. I want to know where you keep your knowledge and help defend it.
Which eventually leads to the adventures of Sha’re of Abydos: student of library sciences.
(Her library sciences degree ends up being helpful and plot-relevant an improbable number of times, but not so many times that she’d have to be a regular on the show. This is still network television)
✧ Broken ribs suck. You don’t just “walk it off.” Breathing hurts. Laughing hurts. Existing hurts. Characters with rib injuries won’t be doing heroic sprints.
✧ Concussions aren’t instant naps. Dazed vision, nausea, dizziness, maybe even personality changes, but they’re not going to collapse neatly like in the movies.
✧ Blood loss is sneaky. It’s not just about dramatic pools of blood. It’s dizziness, confusion, and the body getting cold as circulation tanks.
✧ Adrenaline lies. Someone can take a serious injury and not feel it until the fight’s over. That “I didn’t realize I was bleeding until later” trope? Very real.
✧ Twisted ankles are brutal. One bad step and suddenly running is off the table. Even walking hurts like hell. Perfect way to ground a chase scene.
✧ Burns linger. Even small burns hurt more than most people expect. Blisters, infection risk, constant pain, it’s not just a cool scar later.
✧ Dislocated shoulders = useless arm. Characters can’t keep swinging a sword or firing a gun. They’re basically fighting one-armed until it’s fixed.
✧ Shock is a thing. Pale skin, trembling, rapid heartbeat, and eventually disorientation. A character might not even realize how bad their wound is.
✧ Stitches aren’t magic. Getting sewn up is painful and recovery takes time. They’re not instantly battle-ready after a needle and thread.
✧ Scars tell stories. Some fade, some don’t. Some stay sensitive forever. Don’t forget the aftermath when the wound becomes part of the character.
Random Fictional Conversation (and a Character Bio)
Me: Cordesh, while I’m updating your biography… Does every host need a personal history?
Cordesh: Of course.
Me: But you have 21 hosts.
Cordesh: How did that happen? 😨 I’m only on my thirteenth host, which is where I should be. How did I get eight more?! 😫
Me: Uh…
Cordesh: The rest must all be doomed to die young. 😭
Me: What year is it for you?
Cordesh: 1985. Why?
Me: Oh. No reason. Anyway, but I’m only on your fourth host.
Cordesh: Ah, my beautiful Victor. 🥰
Me: You really love them all, don’t you, even after hundreds of years.
Cordesh: Of course. 😊
Me: That’s uh…nice.
Cordesh: 😃🥰
