~ Summary: There is something fascinating, almost alluring, about the stories and myths of Levi Ackerman, Captain of The Lady Kuchel. Feared as a ruthless pirate, he raids, plunders and kills under crimson sails that are said to be dyed by the blood of his victims. The rumours are fuelled by a constant lack of survivors and methods that appear uncommon and unpredictable.
It is not gold or glory he is after—but what else could it be?
Unbeknownst to Erwin, he is just about to find out as he stumbles into an adventure the extent of which he is unaware. To make matters worse, he has his own secrets lurking in the dark that will eventually collide with both men’s lives.

Chapter 9 is out! Check it out here (AO3).
Or discover a snippet below (content warning: guns):
-
“I’ve never used a gun in my life,” you confess, guilt dripping from your tone.
Levi takes a step closer to you, his eyes going softer.
“Grip it with both hands and clinch it straight.” One of his palms close around the handle, his cold fingers locking around yours, sending goosebumps across your skin. Slowly, he raises the gun and points it straight ahead, adjusting your arms’ position. “In case you encounter a vampire, aim for the heart. That’s how you kill them. It’s the only thing left of them that is still human.”
“Alright,” you say, trying to ignore the flutters at the bottom of your stomach.
“You only have eight bullets, make them count,” Levi tells you, his gray eyes shining like the steel of the weapon in your hands.
You nod again, flutters turning to anxiety.
He lets go and you lower the gun, looking at him with concern notched between your brows. You try to ignore all the panic brewing within, focusing on what’s ahead. This is about Sasha, after all, she’s the one who is in danger.
You peel yourself away from Levi’s gaze and walk towards the entrance, standing close to Hange.
With that taken care of, Levi walks out of the cave and into a clearing that separates this safe spot from the rest of the forest. Primroses paint the otherwise wild area with specks of white, bright petals standing in stark contrast to the rest of the darkness.
Noir stands in the middle, a great dark beast awaiting her rider. Levi reaches her, adjusting the saddle, moving daggers onto his harness, which hangs just under his woolen coat. Weapons now within reach, Levi pushes himself off the ground and onto his horse.
Levi then gazes back at you, creases forming on his pristine face.
Breathtaking, you think. And dangerous.
Indeed, Levi appears like an angel of the night, here to cast upon final judgment. The half-moon hanging behind him gives his raven hair a silver halo, strands of white gleaming in twilight, while his eyes appear sunken and otherworldly—shining like fallen stars.
“Be careful,” you call out, heart quenching at the sight of him. You’re scared to see him go, though you don't know what to make of those feelings. “You still have a job to come back to.”
“I will,” Levi mutters, turning Noir around with a firm grip. Then, he gives you one last look. “Don’t do anything reckless.”
What was supposed to be a night of pleasure—doused in intoxicating liquids, worshipped by naked women—leaves Erwin hollow and dejected. Against all convention, Erwin bares his soul to a man instead. Amid the crackling flames and whispers of the night, Levi, Erwin’s loyal guard, offers him solace and even something more—an unexpected passion which threatens to shatter Erwin’s carefully constructed world, leaving him torn between royal duties and forbidden desires.
✧ Summary: Levi dies and finds someone waiting for him in the afterlife.

Levi felt light.
His body had become a collection of memories, a pathway of connected points in time as he felt the very essence of his being rise beyond the gateway of Time.
A lifetime of loss and love, all condensed into a single entity. Was this Death? Was he dreaming? He wasn’t sure. But in this moment, he felt that none of it mattered.
All he knew was that he had woken up, greeted by a wave of familiar faces. They stood as he last remembered them. The portraits of smiling ghosts — their skin smooth and angelic — here to embrace him at the end of all things.
The Survey Corps, his family.
Levi noticed him then.
Erwin.
His presence is comfort to Levi, a sense of security. A longing that transcended time and space; a feeling Levi hadn’t felt in a long time. He couldn't name the feeling, but it was familiar and warm.
Erwin gazed at him, quiet understanding forming on the man’s facial expression. His blue eyes gleaming with pride, reflecting the stars and the very heavens above. To Levi, it seemed as if Erwin was glowing.
Levi approached him slowly, at a loss of words. How many years had it been?
“I have been waiting for you, Levi,” Erwin said at last, giving him that wistful smile Levi knew all too-well.
