I think building a convincing dramatic scene is all in the details. A buddy of mine, director @RaafiRivero, really pulls you into this Ghostface Killah's "Rise of the Black Suits" video clip.
WATCH: Check out this thorough documentary profiling American women who changed the world by taking roads less traveled.
Money is the anthem...
I wonder what a Denis Lavant and @etherealstory collab would look like. This film gave me even more respect for todays' actors. #holymotors #leoscarax #MrMerdeTokyo #storyboardP
Jabari Presents: Deshawn Raw (Documentary)
Deshawn Raw is an upcoming comedian most known for his “Rap Battle” parodies on YouTube. In just over a year his sketch comedy and parody videos have resulted in over 60 Million YouTube views.
In this short film I traveled to Deshawn’s home in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and talked with him about his start as a comedian and where he plans to take his comedy career. Deshawn started telling jokes in high school as a form of self defense and after a stint at college, he wanted to showcase his videos online as a reel.
A few viral videos later, Deshawn Raw’s YouTube channel would lead him to creating the “Rap Battle Part 5” video with the man that inspired him to pursue an online career, Soulja Boy.
Deshawn is currently working on a Comedy Central pilot with Chris Rock, and has come a long way in a short time.
Jabari Presents was made to inspire youth culture to chase their dreams by showcasing people who are living theirs. This is a story of standing out amongst the competition and chasing your goals. This is Jabari Presents: Deshawn Raw.

VICE editor-in-chief @rocco_castoro and photographer/videographer Robert King have been following John McAfee for the past four days, documenting his life on the run. Rocco and Robert will release exclusive preview footage of a forthcoming long-form documentary about McAfee's ordeal that will provide answers to many open questions and set the record straight.
John McAfee is a software tycoon notably responsible for creating the McAfee Anti-virus.
Last month, police found the body of McAfee's neighbor, Gregory Faull, with a gunshot wound to the back of the head in his Belize home. Since then, the father of anti-virus software has been on the run, supplying half-hourly updates on his condition to Wired Magazine.

The Fallacy of Popular Culture
A social experiment by Brett Cohen exploring celebrity obsession and the increasing neglect toward credibility in American culture.
"I think the frustration that a lot of filmmakers feel is that films just kind of get tossed away to VOD. Without having anything to drive that conversation or drive people to VOD, no one knows it’s there." --Morgan Spurlock

"This is the environment of post-industrial America. The work has gone away. The only factory that remains is the drug trade...and they're hiring...they're the only people hiring" -- David Simon (Creator of HBO's The WIRE)
