for better or for worse this intro/outro song is the one song that stuck in our heads during our whole brighton stay and beyond.
-> the photo that this drawing is based on is from the very first family-friendly Do The Thing show.
about the show:
Many may have questioned the group's ability of making a family-friendly version of the show. I was certainly very curious as to how it would go. I was personally threatened before the show to not snitch if it went badly but it genuinely went really well and was generally family friendly, and I'm saying this now that I'm back home and no longer at gun point.
I would love to elaborate more about the content but as is the nature of these shows, it is hard to make sense of the plot in retrospect. There's a 50/50 chance that tim remembers more plot from that show than I do and will read this, so I'm not gonna publicly embarrass myself and attempt to recount half truths.
-> That being said, I do recall Shakespeare being involved in the scene that is pictured above. My friend and I are very uncertain as to which one of them played Shakespeare though. I'd be be curious if you remember? @stellarfirmatim
why and how did I end up there: I think it was in jaunary when I was talking to people about being so sad that I missed out on seen Stellar Firma Live live and about how a potential Goblins live show would likely be far in the future, I got recommended to go see Do The Thing at the Brighton Fringe and at that time I was still very skeptical of the idea, thinking it would be a lot of travel costs JUST for DTT.
Less than a month later the Stellar Firma Live video came out which I had been very excited for but still somehow not excited enough to prepare me. Maybe 15 minutes into the video I fully accepted my fate that I would have to go to the Brighton Fringe somehow and see DTT. (those things may not seem related but conceptually they are!)
At the time I was still a bit worried that I would end up regretting how much money everything would end up costing just to see DTT. The fact that the more I looked up about Brighton it started to look like the coolest town ever that I would like to visit even regardless definitely helped.
All this to say: Even after just having seen the first show all my doubts about if this was a bad financial decision evaporated. A really great show that vastly exceeded my expectations. Even if Brighton was an ugly sad town in the middle of nowhere just this show would have made it worth it to travel there.
crowd work + format: I was the most scared of the crowd work beforehand, so much so that we had come up with a list of words to say if prompted. I did not know there would be stickers if you don't want interaction until we got to the entrance and at that point it felt too embarrassing to me to take one. Turns out the crowd work really wasn't scary at all. We were not involved in any of it (which was totally fine) but it was good to not sit there in fear of being called on. I also think I actually prefer the choose your own musical format to the up to 10 musicals format. In all 3 shows it worked really well in my opinion. Most importantly, it also removes the terrifying ball throwing part of the crowd work. 3 parties being chosen to make choices throughout the musical really seemed perfect to me, those people will be mentally prepared for being called on and they don't have to come up with something themselves but only have to choose between two options which I feel like generally also makes the crowd work more accessible and less risky.
Five weeks to go! We have now recorded all the episodes and are busily working away to get them ready for you.

Do the Thing has their last Brighton Fringe show today and the only one I will have to miss. Good luck with the show to @stellarfirmatim, Simon and Ian!
I'm genuinely upset I will have to miss the last one even if I should consider myself lucky I got to see three. And yes I have returned safely and possibly more alive than I have ever been. I will elaborate more about the DTT shows and more in the future.
This drawing I had actually already finished before the trip, not knowing that these shirts are literally their uniforms now so they had the same outfits for this year's shows. I'm just saying this to clarify that the reference image was from older shows and not the most recent ones despite them having the exact same clothes.
More art will follow that is actually referenced from the new shows. Also presumably more SFL art again.
This is it! Part 4 of 4 of Tim and Sam playing Guy Kelly's game: I Will strangle a Horse. Do they finally strangle the horse, or... do they make a horse friend? Listen to find out.
This is part 1 of 4 of Tim and Sam playing Guy Kelly's game: I Will Strangle A Horse. It was incredible and chaotic. Hence the needing 4 parts. Please Enjoy.
Of course, per usual, I have to make a silliness post of a collection of all the.. well silliness that happened between Tim and Sam playing Guy Kelly's game: I Will Strangle a Horse. And there was very much of that going on. Please, enjoy.

Our final guest actor announcement is the wonderfully talented @mimimaytrudge-blog Amy-May Trudgeon.
Amy is currently mostly known for deceiving a large chunk of TikTok into believing she voices the Jet2 adverts (and honestly we aren’t 100% sure she doesn’t). But before her plane related fame, she has over 14 years of training and performing in Acting, Dancing and singing under her belt, as well as 4 years in the VA world.
You can hear her most recent VA work as Katelyn Tulley in the “GOT Season 8 redux: Roberts Rebellion”. Or see her acting and dance reels as well as other projects on her insta: @mimimaytrudge.
Throughout the years she has also added Makeup, Cosplay, Modelling, Photography, Videography and Editing to her skillset. She hopes to continue to use these skills in nefarious ways to deceive the masses further.
