hugs are a gesture to make people feel better when they're upset. caelus seeks them out often - not usually due to any particular upsetting circumstance, but because he just enjoys them.
he steps forward to break the distance and wraps his arms around robin, firm, but gentle. loose enough that she can break away if she doesn't like it, but firm enough to be a nice hug.
"these...make me feel better. usually..."
At first, Robin hesitated for a brief moment, but she slowly returned the hug, wrapping her arms around the Trailblazer's torso, her chin leaning on his shoulder. Caelus' embrace was just the right amount of loose and tight. Not to mention, he was quite warm. The memory of her hugging her brother midair resurfaced in her mind… However, for the first time in days, she didn't feel like crying. "Thank you…" she murmured, her eyes closed. "…it's working."
caelus tilts his head in just a way so it lands against robin's. her hair is soft and smooth - a nice texture to rest his cheek on. he smiles - maybe she'd be able to feel the slight shift?
"that's good...i'm glad."

Moze blinks as he processes the Trailblazer is now in front of him. "Nameless, it would be wise to get out of the way. I am trained for this type of situation, your teammates can not afford to lose you." Did he think Caelus was going to move? Absolutely not. Not really. After all, none of them in this group were the type to just leave things to the professionals. "You have other priorities, you should go back up your comrades."
"no." and caelus looks so much more determined than usual, eyes glimmering yellow. moze was trained for this, yes, while caelus had only muscle memory and a very nasty swing with a bat in his arsenal.
"i'm going...to help you. keep...you safe."

Calliope waved her hand in front of his face, letting out a soft sigh when she got no reaction.
“Great. ‘Ey!” she said, snapping her fingers in front of his eyes, “you still with me?”
"...whhh...?"
he seems...a llt more sleepy than usual, eyes glassy and very unfocused. he's able to focus on calliope for just a moment before his eyes go unfocused once more.
Calliope gently shook his shoulders, her brows furrowing slightly.
“Caelus?? What’s the matter with ya?” she called out, snapping her fingers in front of him again (a little more insistently).
"...ca...lli...?"
his voice sounds hoarse, too! maybe he's getting sick?
Calliope chewed her lip thoughtfully, and instinctively pressed a hand against his forehead.
“Hmm…you’re a bit warm, but you’ll be fine,” she said, her voice softening as she gave him a reassuring pat on his shoulder.
“You stay here. I’ll be right back,” she murmured, standing up and walking out of the room.
"...'s the...stellaron..." he says, voice mumbled and words slightly slurred. his eyes are only half-focused on calliope walking away.
“It’s the who what now?” Calliope asked, peeking her head back through the doorway.
“Is it deadly? Or she? I’m not good with this stuff.”
"...it's fine..." caelus mumbled once more. "don' worry..."
“You’re actin’ like this and sayin’ I shouldn’t be worried? Don’t make sense to me,” Calliope said with a soft sigh, walking back towards him.
“How’d this start, anyway?”
"don't...really know..." caelus leans back against the wall, trying to find something to rest against. he's so tired - much more so than usual.
"i just...wanna sleep..."
Calliope let out a soft sigh, and gently lifted him off of the wall and let him lean on her.
“Ya want sleep, huh? Think that’ll help?” she questioned, keeping her tone gentle.
"...yeah..." the stellaron is likely to be sapping out his energy - as it always seems to. no wonder he's so tired. and with seeming sick, too, it isn't doing wonders for him.
"...so tired..."
“Alright, cowboy. Let’s get you to bed,” Calliope huffed, wrapping one of her arms around Caelus’ torso.
She then hoisted him up and over her shoulder, carefully carrying him back to her room before depositing him on her bed.
“Don’t go anywhere,” she said over her shoulder as she walked away from the bed.
"aaa-!" caelus cries in surprise as he's hefted over calliope's shoulder, and swiftly deposited into her bed. he's quick to curl up on it, though - it's soft, and smells nice, and is warm and comfortable.
he's near out like a light, eyes fluttering shut as he curls b into himself.

"A hug?" Robin's eyes widened a fraction, surprised by his question. The Main Trailblazer was offering her a hug. It would be rude to refuse... Besides, it's a simple comfort hug, right? She'd gladly take it. After all, she could really use one at this moment.
"..How sweet of you." She also stepped forward a little, opening her arms, as if to 'welcome' the hug from Caelus.

I just finished a concert, where I played my most...emotional song thus far." She smiled slightly, momentarily forgetting about her sorrow minutes ago.
"But enough about me! What about you? How's everyone doing in the Astral Express?"

from backstage, the trailblazer can hear soft crying. he's concerned, seeking out the source of the sound - was someone hurt, or did someone need help? it would appear so, as caelus comes across the crying robin.
"...miss robin...?" he says, gently approaching. "...are you okay...?"

Robin immediately wiped her tears, startled by the Main Trailblazer's arrival. She stood up from her seat, one hand covering her mouth, feeling quite embarrassed that she let herself cry. Even if he didn't see her crying… he definitely heard her crying. "Ah! Caelus… How long have you been here?"

Dove walked into the Express' parlor car, scanning the empty car until her eyes fell on Sunday's form, sitting tensed up on one of the couches. Her eyebrows furrowed, moving closer to check on him.
"Sunday?" She asked, tilting her head. "Are you alright? You don't look very good."

sunday's eyes are dim, and his face appears both pale and flushed at the same time. both hands clutch at the cushiony seat underneath him, and his breath comes out in soft pants.
"ah...dove." he says, and his voice sounds strained, exhausted. "yes, i'm...a-alright."
Her eyes narrow in obvious disbelief, quickly taking off her glove to place the back of her hand on his forehead. Her eyebrows furrowed as she felt the heat from his forehead.
"You're not fine," She said curtly. "It's almost too obvious that you're either sick, or you've overworked yourself."
She sat down next to him, tilting her head as she examined him. "What do you need? I'll help you, Sunday."

"You should go rest," She gently set a hand on his shoulder, her eyebrows furrowed. "You've been pushing yourself recently. After what happened in Penacony, you haven't slept properly."
She squeezed his shoulder gently.
"I'm...worried about you, Sunday. Little Morning Dove. Please, at least tell me how to help."
the pet name always made sunday's chest feel warm. little morning dove. he didn't deserve to be called something so sweet, least of all by dove herself.
"it...is nothing." he says, gritting his teeth and trying to form them into a smile. "if...anything, please think of it as...reparations. atoning for...the things i've done."
