I'm having trouble coming up with an actual name for Rico's past life but I cooked with his title: The Warrior of Conviction. It's because he both fought for his beliefs AND because he was convicted of treason :3

That second sentence was intended as a joke. Poor guy doesn't know who he's talking to.

"Also, the Paldean Emperor's letters to the royals of allied nations suggest that his wife was a key figure in the empire's 'diplomacy'. Didn't know he was into cucking."

"Alright, I'll admit that was a bit of a downer subject to bring up. Let me lighten the mood a bit."

"I don't envy key historical figures that became immortal, rather than just..." Rico hesitates. "Dying, you know?"

I had an idea for Rico's backstory, and hear me out:

You know how Armarouge evolves from the armor of a "distinguished warrior", according to its dex entry? What if Rico was either a reincarnation of of the warrior that his Armarouge's armor belonged to, or actually was that warrior and was struck immortal? Either way, the armor dates back to the Paldean Empire because I found that tidbit of the history class interesting-

Decided to go for the reincarnation route! With that out of the way, Rico's bio is (mostly) done!
