Just a Girl underwater

So this morning i opened up this image in photoshop and wanted to do only a couple of strokes as a warmup and then move on to my studies. But then I kind of couldn't stop and i just had to keep on working on it until it was finished.  My goal then became to find out how far i can push a portrait from imagination at my current skill level. I also wanted to have really vibrant colors but then found it really hard to do with the color setting i had chosen.

Aliyjah - the Scorpion Mermaid

Been way long since i last posted something here.

After moving to a new place i didn't find much time to practice my painting and when i did it was mostly sketching on paper ;)

This painting is the result of many happy little accidents - i had a lot of fun trying new things out.

A new Dawn

tried some new techniques, started from random shapes until i sort of saw something in the image and then applied some photos to it. I used my own photos from a vacation in corsica. I used the lasso tool to get the big stone shapes sharp.
