For people afraid this is AI (and those in the comments saying this is a Viking santa??? (as a Norwegian I'm judging the fuck out of you) ):
PowWow Santa is real and he's from Maskwacis, Alberta, Canada.
I finally get to share these!
Hello everyone. I do NORDIC LARPS! And One of my favorite Larps of all time has been Daemon by Narrators Inc. It's based off the Golden compass / His dark materials. It's an excellently fun Larp and one of the big appeals of it is that you and a partner have to be tied to the hip the entire time. One person plays the human and the other person plays their Daemon. The Daemon is represented by an animal. You are essentially playing the same character , Just the Daemon reflects the humans inner subconscious.
This outfit I did is me being a vulture! Honestly one of the more fun aspects of this Larp is coming up with a way to convey which animal your Daemon is.
Me and my good friend Stephanie Ratt. Were playing the Witch and her Daemon. We were the only ones in game who could separate and be more than six feet apart because of Lore reasons for the Witches having this ability. It was really really fucking fun playing an Unhinged 200 year old Vulture who had moments of lucidity between the manic , feral episodes.
I went with an approach for The character with having an entire outfit made out of scraps of clothing. ( Was I inspired by the Birds of Prey jacket that Harley wears? Yeah.... I was... orz )
The outfit took me about a week to make nonstop , and is mostly sewn on with Yarn and very messy looking. I did not want to hot glue anything because I'd be bouncing about like a creature and wanted to minimize the amount of things that would fall off my costume. ( Unfortunately a lot of my strings / bones I had did not survive this.)
My face paint is inspired by the way my tribe paints their eagle face paint. Just instead of black over the eyes I used red ect. The yellow medallion I'm wearing is actually one from my childhood that I'd wear when I did Pow Wow dancing.
The white one I bought from a lovely Indigenous woman.Things not seen here: I also bought earrings for my friend from a Navajo owned arts gallery , I also have my childhood headband that has been used as a choker.
This is sort of the first time I've really played a Native American inspired character for a Larp. It was really , really fun to put a bit of my culture into a costume.
Also would recommend checking out the rest of the costumes and team who posted the photos!
Thanks Y'all!
The good knight.
Dance around the fire and have a happy harvest!

A submission for a little painting challenge posted to youtube, with the theme of 'entering a dungeon'. I had a silly idea and ran with it, and may have spent too much time... but I really want to up my painting game a bit! Challenge ends Sept 6th

Iwao Takamoto, Hanna Barbera design artist who created the look of Scooby Doo, the Jetsons, and Wacky Races. Interned at the Manzanar internment camp after Pearl Harbor, he left his job as an agricultural worker and fruit picker in Idaho to work for Walt Disney, where he was trained in animation and did character design for Lady and the Tramp, due to his lifelong love of dogs, his favorite animal. Moving to Hanna Barbera in 1961, he designed Scooby Doo by deliberately reversing every sign of "good breeding" in a Great Dane, arguing he would be more beloved if he was an "ugly" dog than as a perfectly bred show dog specimen.
A lifelong lover of dogs, the reason Astro, Scooby Doo, Hong Kong Phooey, and Muttley look so similar is because he designed all of them.
