Summer weavings complete! Painted silk warp with ikat weft in silk (first piece) and alpaca (second piece). These are about 20 x 30" woven on an 8 harness loom.
Tying one on.
So much fiber. So little summer to weave it all...
Scarves for mom's birthday! On in her school's colors, and one for fun. I taught myself to finger knit in spirals, and love making these circle designs.
If anyone has ever told you arm knitting is easy they’re a liar and you should cut them out of your life immediately. You don’t need that kinda crap in your life.
Tried to do some “arm knittting”. not a great start. should stick to what I know. also, my arms might be too big.

Finally updated my portfolio with all my new arts.
One of my small pieces got first in a local fiber show!

Summer Weaving series = done! just in time for back to school...
Done with this purple piece. I like it, and I’m happy that I used these structures on the dobby loom. I’m not sure how much I really like how the colors are working together. so much white!
This is going pretty well. Only one other thread snapped. Gotta weave into the peach section, and then it's done!
Looking so good today. Taking a lunch break before something bad happens.
Disciplined magic: the textiles and designs of Bauhaus artist Gunta Stölzl. The weavers of the Bauhaus school were arguably the most influential and successful of all the workshops in the Institute. These works and sketches were done between 1919-1931.
Summer project 2 progress. So many threads broke. So many threading errors. It’s all good now though.
