âOkay, okay,â Stiles sighed, settling his arm across Thomas with his hand resting on his husbandâs waist, thumb drawing an absent-minded little circle. âOnce upon a time, there was a probably-going-to-grow-into-his-looks-just-fine young boy, and a very lonely wolfâŠâ

When Kate Argent kills most of his family, Derek makes a deal with a Nogitsune in order to avenge their deaths. In exchange for killing his first love, however, the Nogitsune demands Derekâs next one as payment, whenever Derek falls again. Never believing heâd make the mistake of opening his heart to anyone else, Derek takes the deal.
Fortunately, the only thing the Nogitsune likes more than pain is riddles, and when it finally comes for Stiles, it offers Derek a chance: if he can guess the Nogitsuneâs name before the time runs out, Derek can keep the boy. The only problem is, Derek doesnât even know Stilesâ actual name, and that soon becomes an issue in and of itself.
A Teen Wolf twist on the Rumpelstiltskin tale, initially inspired by the fact that Stilesâ name is nearly impossible to guess in three tries. Written for the Sterek Writing Room's 'Fairy Tale September' prompt.

An AU of 'The Wild Swans' in which Derek tries to save his sisters and Stiles is fascinated by his odd behaviour (and stunning good looks).

Coming to a halt far enough from the stranger that he still feels safe, Stiles responds with, âIâm just a traveler passing through.â
As if sensing the lie, the manâs nostrils flare. âTravelers donât come out this far into the forest. Thereâs nothing for them to find out here, and theyâre smart enough to know not to mess with the woods.â It sounds like an insult and a threat at the same time. âWhat are you really doing out here?â
Steeling himself, Stiles is tells the truth. "I'm looking for a dragon."
Or the one where Stiles is on a quest to slay a dragon for a princess, and Derek is the disgruntled dragon keeper who doesn't enjoy having to continuously stop stupid princes from hunting down his pets.

When Mason calls Stiles for help on figuring what kind of spell he accidentally cast, they go to Derek to ask for some extra books. Arriving there, they quickly find out the effects of Mason's spell.
Stiles gropes blindly for his phone. Its ringing pulled him from a very nice dream, which heâs already forgetting.
âThis better be good,â he says by way of greeting.
âI think I did something.â
âMason?â
âI was studying those books Deaton gave me, but it was kinda lateââ
Shit, Stiles thinks, feeling where this going.
ââso there might have been some mumbling, plus I talk in my sleep, and then my mom woke me up because it smelled like wet wood in my room, andââ
âAnd then you saw you left the books open,â Stiles groans. Deatonâs number one rule with magical books is to always put them away when youâre done. They can react to anything if left to fend for themselves, each other, a car driving past, sleep talk. âIâll be there in thirty. Donât touch anything.â
