What is this blog?

This is just a place where I can post short (or long) comics about my ocs or just random shit or my ocs (I like them a lot, okay?). If you want to see just drawings of my characters or just drawings in general, no comics, my Instagram has that : Steve_The_Seal_Boi You can ask anything you want about my characters, whether it is about backstory, clarification, head canons, etc. I just ask you be respectful and mindful of what you ask. You can ask the characters directly and they will respond (to the best of my ability) and I can't promise their responses will be kind. For some of them. Some of them are dicks. You can ask 18+ questions, I just ask that you stay aware of the characters age and the world they come from. Most are over the age of 18 but some may be in worlds that are for children (For example, my cookie run kingdom oc). So, just don't be too inappropriate and we can all have a great time. And, if you do end up asking something that may be triggering, I do ask that you put a warning just in case. Don't hesitate to ask me questions, I love being asked questions.

That's Tyce's team. Am I going to draw the battle? Fuck no. I was on the verge of tears just trying to draw the pokemon in this, and most are based on actual stills of the pokemon.

The Nightmare

Warning! Child abuse and child abandonment.

The trauma, the trauma, the trauma. His dad really wanted Tyce to be strong, by any means necessary. It's reason number two as to why he hates the dark.

Also, he was given a room in the Team Skull base. The sad man has a bed, finally.

do you have a design for the gym badge? does he ever carry old ones around, or is he nervous about having that connection to the past on hand? 👀

I did a few rough sketches about a year ago, looking at references of some ghost gym badges.

The one with the star next to it was the final at the time. I might change it and color it on a later date, though.

As for if he has kept any, he has not. He doesn't want to be recognized or remembered as the terrifying, ghost type gym leader. He can, however, navigate his old gym quite well and grab his old badges if he ever chooses to. But, he'll likely never go back.

I'm so curious -- a lot of Ice type gyms have those hazardous puzzles in them and are encountered later on in the gym circuit, but what was the interior of his gym like? and was he considered (generally) an early gym, mid level gym, or late gym? 👀

He was considered early-mid level, having four pokemon. But, it was not an ice type gym. It was a ghost type gym (much to his dismay because he's terrified of ghosts. But his elite four wouldn't let him change the type.) But, because he didn't have many ghost pokemon, it was an unbalanced mix of ice and ghost, with the ice pokemon being power houses and the ghost pokemon being very weak. Froslass is his ace.

I haven't played all of the pokemon games, and the only three I've actually played only one of them had a ghost gym, so I don't have an exact idea as to what ghost gyms look like. I do know that the puzzle to get to him is a light puzzle, trying to navigate a maze to get to him with the trainers having small spotlights. But, that's subject to change.

What I do know is that the gym is now haunted and all run down, after having been shut down. Lights falling from the ceiling, the floor all cracked and warped, and the wallpaper peeling from the walls. Some kids try and challenge each other to go through and find what's at the center. Spoiler/not spoiler: It's just a box of the old gym badges.

The Past

Tyce looked pretty scary (at least to the young trainers) so not many people came to his gym. It lost funding and, eventually, we get our sad sad homeless man.

He purposefully hides his hair tufts because people would recognize him instantly if they saw them. And he doesn't want to be feared.

hi,, sorry if this is kind of odd but i am really enjoying how you portray guzma and i also like your little pokemon guy but i just wanted to make sure you don't ship them because,, i selfship w guzma and i dont really like seeing other ppl ship their ocs or anything with guzma,, so i just want to make sure u dont so i can still like.. enjoy ur little guys idk. sorry this probably comes off as really weird

That's perfectly fine! First, I'm glad I portrayed Guzma well. That's what I was worried about when writing the script for the comic. I read so many articles and the official pokemon wiki so I could portray him correctly. Second, while I personally like to think that Tyce and Guzma could kiss and possibly date in my little story and headcanon, I am also aware that neither of them are emotionally mature enough to actually date. Tyce needs to grow a pair and Guzma needs to chill out before either of them should attempt dating. (That's, at least, my opinion between those two. This isn't a dig at people who selfship or ship him with other characters. Unless it's the trainer, you're fucking weird for that if you do.) So, yeah. I don't plan on portraying them in much of a romantic light when I draw them interacting. I would, personally, love to see them dating but, that's just not possible at this point in their story. But, that also shouldn't stop you from loving other ocs or characters people make if they happen to ship them with a character you love. It's not like he's a real person. Now, if it were actual people, actually dating, without any shared knowledge amongst them all, that would be cheating.

The Meeting

I like to imagine this is how they met.

Summary: After Tyce was chased and knocked out due to a fall, he finds himself in the heart of Team Skull's base, in front of the one and only Guzma. Tyce begs for his life and reveals that he has been struggling to live. Out of pity, Guzma lets him stay to at least get something in his stomach.

This is Tyce. He is an ex-gym leader who is a sad wet cat of a man who gets inadvertently adopted by Guzma and is being forced to learn how to be strong again. Everyone say "Hi Tyce."
