It makes sense that The Exorcist was a horror movie, since the whole point of an exorcism is to scare the hell out of you
Maelle from Expedition 33 sounds exactly like Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate, but only if the game is set to English.
looked up russians vs japanese piracy twt beef and its worse than i thought😭 it all started with japanese users being mad at discovering there's all those unofficial russian manga reading sites. russians tell them that there's not much licensed manga in russia to consume legally in the first place. japanese say its your problem, you should then go to japan and buy it legally. russians obviously go ??? it's crazy expensive to fly to japan plus we're sanctioned and often can't purchase foreign things with our money. japanese go full russophobia and say ahhh you evil aggressors deserve it for war. russians answer that even before the war this wouldn't be a solution. then brazilians join russians to fight on the side of piracy and started gotcha japanese with their war crimes and xenophobia. then other japanese users joined on the side of piracy and said anti-piracy japanese are hypocrites because its common in japan to listen to pirated western music. i guess this made japanese anti-piracy people even madder and they went all in saying crazy stuff like comparing piracy to rape. the more hilarious example was one japanese user trying to gotcha russians by threatening to pirate and read... dostoevsky🤣 sums up their level of ignorance regarding this whole topic.
Hey, that's inaccurate.
Japan should be on both sides of the "belligerents" section.
If you live on the West Coast, there's still one hour left to pray for an Ides of March miracle.
I wonder if the expeditioner academy required Lune to take an exam to prove she was proficient at levitating with chroma. If she did, I'm sure she passed with flying colors.

Woah woah this has 1000 notes. I'm super flattered and I will bench press each and every one of you.
I can't believe you're this many notes in and nobody knows you handstitched the flag.
Oh hell was i supposed to mention that?
I handstitched the flag.
You definitely seem happier in plate, even if you were assigned mail at birth.
Joining a religious order used to make it impossible for you to inherit property. This changed recently with the invention of the heir friar.
I think I've figured out a decent way to describe what the proliferation of generative AI output feels like as a consumer of content. Feel free to steal this if you agree.
Imagine finding the food at your local grocery store slowly getting replaced with some kind of aerogel product which looks and smells the same and almost tastes the same, but isn't filling or nutritious at all. It's occasionally labeled but in an opt-in system that warns you maybe 20% of the time. Two thirds of the news coverage on the subject is food companies declaring that aerogel is the future of food because it's cheaper per volume. The other third is either about how it's made from homeless people or that it's carcinogenic. You know a few people who swear by the stuff, because it has no calories. They act like jerks because they are constantly hangry.
While I have misgivings about the "redemptive sacrifice" trope in itself, I also feel like KPDH made inefficient use of BOTH characters' narrative potential by having Jinu give up his soul to anchor the new Honmoon instead of Celine.
Jinu's character arc was about rebuilding his sense of self, and much as it might be possible to take positive steps quickly, you can't finish that kind of project in a few days of narratively ambiguous romance. Even if you start with big revelations that put you on the right track, that kind of thing is the work of YEARS, with consistent effort required to prevent backsliding. By just getting a dramatic scene where he dies for a good cause, we're cheated out of seeing him put in the sustained work to actually live as a good person.
By contrast, the character arc Celine would have gotten if she'd had one, would have been about accepting her place as a de facto parent, whose job is to prepare her children as best she can and then get out of their way so they can outgrow her. It would have been a quick but still impactful and appropriate conclusion for her to make the ultimate sacrifice to show that she not only loves Rumi but also has faith that she's ready to inherit the responsibility of both maintaining the Honmoon and deciding how to live.
It would still have taken some extra work to set things up, mostly in terms of showing Celine actually face her failures rather than just get yelled at for being a terrible foster mother before the camera cuts away. But I think with like 5-10 minutes of setup we could have gotten a finale which presented a satisfying conclusion to Celine's story and a midpoint to Jinu's, rather than a cop-out conclusion for Jinu and nothing at all for Celine.
I might be going to hell for this one
I made a KPDH meme
I know we're all excited for the Silksong release date, but since we've been baited with release windows that did not come to pass before, I figured it would be a good idea to remind everyone of my advice to avoid getting disappointed.

An amusing ship name thought
I don't know if there's an established ship name for this pairing that the fandom is already using, but I think I figured out the perfect name for Sciel x Painted Verso, given Sciel's association with the Tarot and Verso's cursed immortality.
"Inverted death"
Why Verso has Marking shot.
I was thinking today about how (painted) Verso has the ability Marking Shot, which for the most part doesn't seem all that fitting for his kit. Sure it follows his rules with a rank bonus for a bit more damage, but the point isn't damage anyways and that's kinda their boring option when they don't have anything better. And then I realized two things which make it fit:
It synergizes with Maelle's first real damage-dealer, Percee
Gustave had the same ability.
Verso is pretending to be someone he isn't, someone who's gone and cannot come back, so that a distraught family member can stay in their comfort zone a little longer. Again.
