Thought this could fit in well here
Ok I don’t mean to be doing this too often but I literally just wrote a paper about this so I thought I would comment! The English translation is The Cursed Woman but the original French is La Femme Damnée. “Femmes Damnées” was the title of a Baudelaire poem from his acclaimed 1857 book Fleurs du mal, which was known, among other things, to be a collection that famously dealt with the subject of lesbians. The poem tells the story of the desires and passionate love between two lesbians: Delphine and Hippolyte. As a result of this poem and of the book as a whole, the terms “fleurs du mal” and “femme damnée” became lesbian monikers of the turn of the century. Though some have deemed the term “damned women” to be accusatory of some moral dissonance, the poem it is derived from is actually quite sympathetic to the condition of lesbian love as it is a love which is unable to fully flourish in that time. Regardless, the translated title of Tassaert’s painting is misleading, as the original French is less accusatory and more identifying. The title is more accurately “the lesbian.”
And she’s doing fine
Don't you just love it when you suddenly get an Influx of followers but it turns out to be a bunch of porn bots? Fun times. Fun times.
“Funny if we both got it wrong. Funny if I did the good thing and you did the bad one?”
I need to make more art of these two
How beautiful is this? I love these two characters
For context, my neighbor has around 18 chickens and still wants more with the goal of homesteading and being self sufficient.
Christmas was slim this year so I made most of my Christmas gifts and this one is hers. Ignore my dirty table.
I could dig it
All I’m saying is Black Don’t Crack 👏👌🙌💃👠💋💁🙅🔨💎👑👑👑
Sigh. If only I can age as well as these marvelous women

Wow!
There’s something about Studio Ghibli’s Water physics that I love
While it is a liquid, it tends to behave more gelatinously
It’s so beautiful while almost being awkward *bloop*
Gravity? Surface tension? No? Well, just let me hug her!!
Not even seeming to make skin or cloth wet
It looks so satisfyingly bouncy
Tell me what you guys think and what’s your fav movie thing about Ghibli
I remember hearing/seeing a post where Ghibli’s water always -looks- like how water -feels-.
Like when you’re crying it just feels like
And when it’s raining it’s like
Like Ghibli has that perfect look of water where yeah, it’s not exactly -realistic- but they capture the perfect feeling.
I love this and now I need to find a collection of gifs oh Ghibli hair. I love when it does the poof thing. None of this is realistic, but it is wonderfully emotive. Emotions usually feel more talk than physics anyways.
Ghibli movies tend to exude an almost dreamlike feeling or a feeling like nostalgia– like, the general mood of the films feel like summer in the country when the sun is shining and it’s quiet and there’s a breeze going, or the smell of fresh cookies from the oven or the way a freshly-laundered quilt feels when it’s wrapped around you by someone you love.
They just FEEL good. Even the sad movies still give off that same feeling. It’s almost tangible, but still feels like a fond memory.
It’s really hard to describe kfjhsfjk.
This is exactly how I feels about Studio Gibli. I also love how they animate people eating food.
Hi, my 5year old son and I have just watched the episode of Arthur in which you feature. Once it ended I told him that I have several of your books, he then patted my arm sympathetically and replied "I'm sorry Mummy, but he's not real! Its just a story!" I tried to explain but he remained adamant. He still believes in the Tooth Fairy and Father Christmas though!
Best ask ever. Thank you!
Still the best Ask ever.
Ok this is adorable and something my son would say
