I need more T1D friends and would like more so we can talk and exchange info and help each other, etc.

I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 17 years now and my sister for 19 years. It is genetic in my family.

Ive been a t1d since february, meaning not that long, i am the only person in my family with type one, its been a hard couple of months getting used to everything, but hopefully soon ill get a pump or even a cgm :)

I have had T1D for about a year and six months. Within this time I've had so much trouble and still do. I'm the only one in my family that has it. So its like I'm learning as i go. I hope to grasp on to the challenging routine my Endos give me so that i can help someone else who starts off their journey hard. i need more diabetic friends so that i can be able to talk to those who understand the life changes and troubles as a diabetic.

All those sleepless nights, all the times we try to get it right, all the highs and the lows, and those moments we felt like giving up. People may not know how hard it is, but we sure as hell do.

Be nice to yourself :)

In my opinion some of the most important things in diabetes management are;

- have a routine as much you can - be in control what you eat and choose it wisely I.e vegetable, nuts, egg so on.. - be active, move your body -try to get good sleep - don’t forget or avoid injecting but also don’t over inject. Make a record of all your hypos. - don’t get stressed so much over things, diabetic life is super stressful anyway.
