So you have a wife, two kids, a dog, and a cat. Everyone on the road knows this because of the stick figure family graphic in ascending height order on the driver’s side rear window. If you’re old enough, you might just remember the infamous car graphic of Calvin, from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, peeing on whatever it was that irritated the driver.  Like Calvin standing with a urine stream on the word “taxes.”  Oh man, that driver in that car just hates taxes! 

Car customization comes in many forms from full body car wraps to company logos. Some do it for fashion, other to make a bold statement; regardless of the reason, customizing your car allows you to tell a story and express who you are. Favorite summertime jams are replaced by a new crop of top 40 chart toppers; warm season short shorts take a back shelf to leggings.  NBC’s Fall lineup promises to be the place to be on Thursday nights. That’s right, it’s back to school, time for schedules, and no excuses for late night parties. Set your alarms and coffee makers; prepare your lunch the night before. Look around, Fall is nature’s transition season between late, hot summer nights and the hibernation of winter. Everything follows suit: fashion, food, TV programming, music, magazines; life as we know it. This is the season that sets the tone for the rest of the year. The Stick Behind StickOut

So you’re driving behind a 1994 silver Toyota Carolla with dog earred, faded bumper stickers.  Vote for who? What band is that? That driver likes what?  Those potentially important messages and graphics are washed away, falling off, and forgotten.  StickOut scoured the known Earth for simple answers to the complicated problem of how to affix designs and messages on a car in an attractive and sturdy way.  Let’s look at the other side of StickOut’s Car Skins to see what’s holding it all together.  

  It’s all about the adhesive, graphic film, lamination, and cut. First, let’s look at the adhesive.  The stick behind the StickOut is made up of three special features that allow the user to slide it, reposition it, and apply it without pesky air bubbles.

As you can see it’s totally movable until you’re ready to apply firm pressure and stick it in place.

We have 3 days left of the Kickstarter crowd funding campaign.  We have good news, and not so good news.  Let’s get the not so good news out of the way, so we can focus on the positive.  While we thank each and every one of you for pledging, it looks like we’re not going to reach our fundraising goal.  We made a few mistakes and didn’t garner all the exposure we needed from Kickstarter.  But never fear, we learned more than we lost and met a lot of great people (YOU!) along the way.

On the positive side, we were featured in some of the biggest blogs that cover business start ups, trends, and automotive interests such as Springwise, Topspeed, The Awesomer, and more. We also engaged with many followers who registered on the www.stickout.com website and gave us insightful feedback. In addition, we were able to reach out to new artists and were contacted by interested individuals and companies looking to partner with StickOut!  With that said, it’s full steam ahead towards our online platform launch in July.
