I am thriving in this new city. Ended a toxic relationship. Made brand new friends. Got into a sport that I’m actually incredibly good at. Almost completed all my coursework to apply to medical school. Started a new job that almost pays double what my old job did. Began volunteering in an extremely challenging and rewarding role. This whole city has the most hopeful and passionate energy of any place I’ve lived. It’s been through some of the worst things a city could go through but there is so much pride and energy to build and form community. It just feels so good to be here.

Being off social media has made me more and more disconnected from other gay and bi women. I went on a date recently and she got so mad at me for not knowing who fletcher was 😭

I got the urge to get some Dana Scully-esque outfits for work and I found a really great blazer at the thrift store this weekend. I wore it today, not knowing it was the 30th anniversary of the x-files. Serendipity I guess.
