This room guardian has a citrine crystal heart. It’s face is hollow and lined with black fabric with silver detail to achieve a fragmented abyss effect. The ears, face, and legs were cast in resin so they are very durable. The mane was made with dozens of individual layers of fur, feathers, and fibers sewn to a fabric backing including shreds of lace. The neck and legs have a fully posable plastic ball and socket armature inside that will not wear out over time. The tail has a posable wire inside the ears are attached with a ball and socket joint so they can pivot in every direction.

Painting from Chauvet Cave in the Gorges de l'Ardèche, France, depicting a woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis). This species, which roamed the steppes of northern Eurasia during the Pleistocene, was distinguished by its cold-adapted wool coat, noticeable hump, and massive frontal horn (as seen here).
Chauvet Cave is believed to have been occupied by prehistoric humans at two different times, first during the Aurignacian (ca. 32,000-30,000 years ago), when the majority of the cave's art was made, and then during the Gravettian (ca. 27,000-25,000 years ago). Discovered in 1994, the cave was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 and is considered one of the most important prehistoric art sites on the European continent.
