it's a huge motivator for everybody to be working with probably the greatest of all time in the team. he's a brilliant team member, he pushes each one of us every day and pretty much in every area as well. only yesterday we were talking how can we improve media activities, how can we work better pre-season and in the areas that i'm responsible for, just like he's pushing the engineers on the cars, motivating the team for quicker pitstops. lewis just pushes on everything and he pushes every limit. lewis is just a brilliant motivator and a driving force, not just in the car but also outside it and that's brilliant for everyone in the team - bradley lord

first of all, his role with the team will go on for a longer period, even when he decides not to drive anymore. i can't see him driving for another team and he's gonna be always this iconic racing driver and personality outside. so, i very much hope that our careers and our journey continues beyond the racing. but in terms of the age you see athletes now pushing those boundaries. we have much more scientific understanding how to live our lives & improve in performances. Tom brady is always a good example... and with fernando, you see, his anger still drives him. so yea, with lewis we can go a long way - toto wolff

LH: pretty similar Friday to most Fridays. it started off really well in p1, i was generally really happy with the car and then we made changes. and usually we go into p2, can't figure out why but the car seems to be more of a challenge in p2. so, we're just going through the data now and i'm sure it's something we can rectify overnight.

Q: what is this data showing you. what changes can you make heading into tomorrow?

LH: we got a thousand things we can change so it's just knowing which ones those are and what the actual real issues are, whether it's mechanical, whether it's tyre temp, aero balance. we're gonna figure that out tonight.

Q: last time we had this format of qualifying, you were on pole position. i know it's a different track out here. what are you hoping for tomorrow?

LH: hoping to get into the top 10, getting to Q3 will be nice and then we'll see where it goes from there. with our current pace i don't know how easy it will be to get into Q3 but that's what we're gonna work on overnight. this morning we were obviously easily in the top 3, so i'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope we can get there.
