Peter hated that he had to put Chris through the pain, but he reached into his jacket to pull out a package of gauze and an ace wrap. As he opened the package and began to cover up the bite, he let his fingers brush over Chrisâ skin, taking some of the pain as he helped wrap it. âIâm sorry it hurt, Chris.â he replied. âIf there were another way, to turn you but not hurt you, know that I would have done it.â he carefully began to wrap his mateâs shoulder, eyes blue as he focused on keeping the other male from being in too much pain. âI love you.â he breathed, almost silently as he finished wrapping the bite.
âIâm aware. Iâm a big boy. Just patch it up.â he grunted, short with Peter to avoid having to admit that it really did hurt. Pain was weakness. Hell, this was weakness. His father would have never forgiven him, had he still been alive. But Gerard wasnât his concern anymore and Chris wanted this. He turned to stare at Peter, so certain the man had said something and so confused about what exactly it was. âWhat did you say?â He questioned, staring at Peter as he waited for an answer.Â
