     resistant…ish. she’s hesitant to change / new growth in the sense that when it’s not exactly in her favor because and she doesn’t know how to handle it like .  .  . at all. she’s awkward and unsure of everything and herself. so for example, when jasper came across steven ( understanding him as rose quartz ) that was a sudden new change that she was absolutely in favor of, fighting garnet ? a change she was in favor of. being un-corrupted and having to deal with the sudden change of not only homeworld laws but also dealing with earth and the crystal gems? not a fan of it and very resistant. so tl;dr is she’s resistant when it’s something she’s not ready for.

     now that jasper thinks about it, the fact that they’ve gotten this far is indeed very impressive. and very suspicious. it causes a fault in her actions delaying their progress, jasper knows she’s required to follow out the instructions given to her however she just has to know                              ❝  my diamond, are you sure about this  ? doesn’t this all seem a little .  .  . convenient  ?  ❞

   she typically holds a grudge but sometimes she’ll be .  .  . open to changing her mind on an individual but it’s super rare. once she’s set in her ways there’s basically no turning back unless given a valid reason and even then it probably won’t happen. i think her ( now questionable ) loyal to the diamond authority and their sudden change of hear, her adoration for pink diamond, and well being stranded on earth and corrupted in general really shook her drastically which is why she’s even like .  .  . doing anything regarding steven + the crystal gems

“No, I like it.” Black Star answered the Quartz, holding the small, purple toy in her hands.  Although she could see how it was bothering Jasper.  It wouldn’t stop talking!  And as far as Black Star could tell, there was no off switch.  “But I will put him away” says the smaller gem, walking off to the closet under the stairs and putting her new ‘friend’ inside, gently closing the door.  Thankfully, the toy was barely audible and eventually went silent, whew!

              “Okay, now that that’s done,” Black Star piqued, smiling at the orange gem.  “we can hang out!”

          she’s quiet for a moment. she really doesn’t want to hang out with the small gem and she definitely doesn’t want to hang out while that weird doll is around, which can still be heard occasionally from the closet            oh it stopped. ❛  thank the diamonds❜   , she thought. not a lot of things put her on edge but that thing .  .  . boy did that do it. she sighs heavily and pushes herself up to sit correctly (  at least that’s what pearl says  ) on the couch. jasper still had no desire to ‘  hang out ’ so to say, however, it’s either go with the runt or deal with the others when they return from their mission. the answer is clear.  ❝  fine.  what do you want to do, small fry  ? ❞
