I think a lot about how I wished I died in the crash, or never woke up from the coma.

The only way I can live is knowing I can still do something good. Helping other people makes me feel like I still deserve to be here. If I don't have that, all I am capable of is feeling sorry for myself as I rot away in the hole that is my safe space.

I get trapped in this mental loop; knowing I deserve nothing. I'm nothing to the people around me. At best, a useful tool, but still replaceable. If I cannot remain neutral or keep my shit together-- I'm not welcomed to share a space with other people. It becomes an inconvenience if I cannot be useful.

I narrow my eyes at those ads for mental health help lines, and I resent them. It feels like a slap to the face.

"Suicide Prevention Helpline: Reach out to someone." Those words are mocking. Demeaning. By the time I feel the dark thoughts and urges curling into my head, I know, for a fact, that ending my life is the righteous thing to do.

I'll let Beef stay with Chase that night. I'll leave a will for him. I'll put a sign on the bedroom door let whoever finds my rotting corpse to call the police. Robert would try his best to be considerate once that night finally comes.

i love your pulse au! out of curiosity, had the z-team heard of robert/pulse before he started working at sdn? does he have some sort of wider notoriety outside of shroud's/the red rings circles? do any of those rumors affect how the rest of z-team view robert when he first joins? im so curious about robert's relationship(s) with the rest of the z-team

The only people who knows that he used to be Mechaman are of course Chase and Blazer, so keeping that aspect of him is still a secret. But beyond that, the general reputation that Pulse has amongst villains and heroes alike is that he's an anonymous advanced hacker that's more akin to a ghost. If he can get someone else to do something for him, or have something done remotely then he will. No one knew what he looked like or if he was even a singular person until his capture, so thats when his identity as some guy 'Robert' becomes known to the Z-Team. Most of his time working as a dispatcher has the Z-Team heckling him in similar fashion because of this so their treatment of him doesn't change much until he gains their trust and he in turn learns to actually rely on others.

Pulse as a villain/vigilante does invoke some measure of unease amongst the Red Ring since he specifically goes out of his way to target them and Shroud.

Hi I am sorry if this is a weird question but what kind of brushes do you use for your work? I am newer to digital art and usually stick to more of the dry brush/pastel look, but I am wanting to experiment but so far have not been able to find brushes that quite give this look!!! Understandable if you don’t want to share but I just admire your work and wanted to ask!

I usually combine these with textures and patterns I find on freepik, unsplash, or any other stock photo website :D The thing here is having fun with letting your creativity run wild!
