I present to you… Plain Jane, Slightly To The Side! aka I made a very slight mesh edit of the plain jane septum without knowing what I was doing and then @pickypikachu helped me out and let me release it! (thank you!!)

Note: I tried my best to find a position that looks good on all the default noses but the ring seems to do weird things with certain ones and I’m not sure why. I hope you guys can get it to work for your sims without too much trouble/tweaking! For the wider masculine noses (you might notice the ring just… sits in the nostrils….) try fitting the sides of the nose to the ring in detail mode, and then widening the bottom of the nose in the regular editing mode. If you have any other issues, please let me know!!

Meet Ruby Garrison

My computer is finally fixed!! Unfortuantely I didn’t back up my custom content or saves onto an external drive but I have learnt my lesson! Always backup you files! So I’ve unfortunately had to discontinue my Months of The Year Legacy but I will try it again in the future. But for now I thought I would try a different Legacy challenge and see how we go. Here is Ruby Garrison the first generation in the True Colours Legacy created by @geek-trait . I am going to be playing this on my Youtube channel and uploading every Thursday from November 8th. But her Create A Sim Video will be up this Sunday (4th November) at 6pm GMT

True Colors Legacy Challenge - Playtest Version

In my newly discovered obsession with berry sims and color-based challenges, I looked around the internet but didn’t seem to find a challenge based on color psychology (not that was complete, anyway). So, I decided to take it upon myself to write one! This challenge does resemble the beginning of Simcrush’s Berry Emotions challenge, but I don’t think she ever finished it. If she has and I just missed the post, please let me know and credit will be given to her. Otherwise, enjoy the challenge, and please keep me updated on your gameplay with #truecolorslegacy!

Before we start, I know the white generation is very sparse. I was having trouble thinking of objectives for it, and really just wanted to finally post this thing, because it’s already taken me forever to do it. More objectives will be added in the future. 

Feedback I’m looking for:  

Are the rules fair and easy to follow?

Are the objectives easy to understand?

Can you complete the objectives in the allotted time for each generation? (once heir ages up to young adult)

Are the generations different enough to avoid repetitiveness?

Do the traits, career tracks, and aspirations make sense for each generation’s color?

What do you think could be added to this challenge (rule-wise, gameplay-wise, objective-wise, ect.) to make this challenge better?

Are the introductions for the colors written well?

Are there any objectives you think should be added for any of the colors?

Sims 4 November Patch Thoughts

It’s fairly common knowledge that the incoming November patch (upgrading Python from 3.3.5 to 3.7.0) will DEFINITELY break all Script Mods.  If this is News to you, here is the initial announcement by SimGuruModSquad (SGMS) on Officials, and also, Deaderpool’s comment to MCCC users, on the incoming change.

My suggestion to everyone would be to remove EVERYTHING from /Mods (and remove the localthumbcache.package out of Sims 4, also), before updating to the next patch.  

The script mods from before the incoming patch are ALL going to be useless. The Python part of the patch won’t affect custom content, BUT, nobody can guarantee the content part of the patch won’t break some cc items.  We’ll have to wait and see what happens, once the patch and notes are posted, and error reports start coming in to Deaderpool’s Discord, same as usual.

If your mods and cc are not organized, now would be a good time to do that.  If your eyes just glazed over at the idea of sorting out your 23758237482 files, here are some quick and dirty organizing tips I put together, and if you ARE fairly obsessed with keeping order in your Mods folder, here’s a more in-depth post from Athena (Mac screenshots included!) on getting organized.

Keep in mind, after the patch, Sims4Studio and Sims 4 Tray Importer will BOTH need updates, also.  BE SURE to do everything you need to, with both programs, before you update your game for the November patch.  We’ll be waiting for these to come back online, as well as our script mods.  You’ll find Mac and Windows links to both programs, and also links to how to do a 50/50 to find broken mods/cc, in this post from earlier this month.

Above all, Don’t Panic!!  We’ve been through several big patches on Deaderpool’s Discord, and we’ve survived to tell the tale.  

Just come and visit us, once the patch hits, whether you need help, or you just want to see the show.  (Bring popcorn!!)  We’ll be keeping up with updates as they happen, and as always, we’ll do our best to get you back into playing your game, as soon as possible.

Sad news for Months of The Year

Hello Everyone!

I’m sorry to say that I may have to redo the Months of The Year Challenge as my PC has been playing up and I’ve had to do a hard reset on it causing the loss of all my files. I will try my hardest to ensure that I have all of the custom content I used so that I can put Jane back into my game from the Gallery.
