First bracelet made to a friend’s requests. I think it came out quite well.

Day 20 - Apart from backstitching the word “Australia” somewhere and removing the guidelines, this piece is done.

Day 19 - I would have finished Tasmania if my cat hadn’t scattered all my threads then demanded cuddles (with teeth).

Day 18 - If you squint, you can see where a kangaroo silhouette will eventually go.

Day 17 - Creeping across the east now.

Day 16 - Forgot to post this at 1:30 this morning.

Day 15 -The bit I had a problem with yesterday is the same, but I fixed another part of the coastline and it looks a bit more accurate. I went off pattern a bit because it pixelated weirdly around Shark Bay. I think I’m finally satisfied with the way I’ve interpreted it now. I’ll reassess it once the guidelines come out.

Day 14 - It doesn’t look quite right to me, but I’ll have to poke at it again another time.

Day 13 - I didn’t get much done today, but that western coastline is coming along.

Day 10 - Today was a big migraine day; I’ve probably been pushing myself too much lately. But I was determined to get that one pink cloud finished at least, and I did that and a bit more.

Day 9 - one quarter down, three more to go!

Day 8 - me thinks I’ve never seen a poem as lovely as a tree.

… I think it’s a tree. It just needs the trunk. At least now that side of Western Australia looks like something.

First quarter is almost done!

Day 7 - My first attempt at stitching since my surgery. I don’t know if it’s because my close up sight isn’t what it was, because my lenses are clear of cataracts, because I’m so grateful that I actually felt up to stitching today, or that there actually wasn’t a problem in the first place, but all the uneven stitches I remember seeing in this before aren’t there now. We’ll see how long this not seeing mistakes lasts.

I took a few liberties with the pattern to put in Shark Bay near Cameron in Western Australia, but I may not keep it. We’ll see how I feel as I get deeper into it.

Day 6 - Look! It’s Queensland!

Day 5 - I normally complete a piece quarter by quarter, but this one is making my head itch as the silhouette of Australia is so well known to me. If I wasn’t intent on also lessening the itch caused by the missing sunrise and having to stitch in the lighter colours around the orange first, Queensland would already be there next to the NT.
