Hello anyone who might see this, this is my pinned post :)
I am the mod, you can call me August, and I write! Pronouns are he/she/they! This is my blog dedicated to my nightmare before Christmas au "Stolen Monsters" which I will not be posting on my main account anymore.

Jack and Sally
Jack and Sally are of course married! They have 5 children so far, but more are to come.
Sally is kind hearted and trying her hardest to be the best pumpkin queen out there! She enjoys sewing and cooking, and plays into The Mayor's random and sometimes off putting plans to keep him happy (as most do). Her hair has grown out now, and she has grown a fondness for gardening! Jack makes sure there is a perfect spot in Halloween town to maintain her garden!
Jack is determined and kind, and makes sure to let Sally know every day how much he loves her. He knows he would be in a world of trouble if it weren't for Sally, but he tries his hardest to stay out of it. He sometimes enjoys the Mayor's company but finds himself enjoying Dr. Finkelstein's a lot more as of late, especially with him being his father in-law.

Dr Finkelstein and Jewel
Dr. Finkelstein has finally come to terms with the fact that Sally is free. He made her, and he cannot help but miss her despite the trouble she caused. Sometimes she still visits him, and she's made a wonderful daughter now that she is free and not having to run away. He enjoys his experiments and now enjoys making toys! He never saw himself under this path, but quite enjoys it.
Jewel is the kind of woman you'd expect to gossip and sip her overpriced tea. She's not all there in the head (literally) but she loves her husband. She takes care of him diligently, while also taking up a spot in the sewing club that Sally started! She doesn't know much as she's very new to the world, but she knows that she'd like to know her daughter better, even if that means she's walking into a few things blind.

Oogie Boogie
Oogie has died, but has left a lasting impression on many people. He was Jack's friend up until his addiction became too much. No one knew the full extent of what he'd done, and most still don't, but more information comes up every day. The tree house has been hijacked by a certain beloved trio, and the townsfolk think of him quite bitterly, though few wonder if there was something they were missing.

The Mayor
The Mayor is quite a man! (Thing?) No one is really sure what he is honestly. Before the events of the movie, he'd been through a divorce with his wife Denise. She took their daughter, and he didn't see her for many years. With the turning event of Denise deciding to study abroad, their daughter, Mabel, must come back to live with her father. He is overjoyed to see her, her not so much..

Mabel
Mabel, or as her birth certificate is signed, The Magnificent Mabel, is the Mayor's daughter. Lost in the divorce, she lived with her mom since she was 5. While she doesn't enjoy being with her father, she respects her mother's choice to find her purpose and learn new things. But now she is stuck in a town with no one she knows, and a dad who makes her dress exactly like him with a smile on her face.

Lock, Shock, and Barrel
Lock is a wild child. An imp, taken from his parents many years ago. He is the self proclaimed leader of the trio that still stands today! Lock is pompous and bratty, often immature in most moments, but he has Shock and Barrel by his side even through his adulthood! The full effect of what boogie has done has not fully set in for him, and he tries hard not to think about it. Boogie was hard on him. He's happy to be free and be thriving with his friends by his side!
Shock is an independent soul. She was a witch, taken from her parents too. Her mother searched high and low for her, but Shock was never found. She has grown to stop fighting Lock on who is the leader, and just let's him win (though that is the only thing she stopped fighting him on.) Shock attempted to join the town coven as an act of freedom and of choices that boogie never gave her, but at the age of fourteen she felt as if her independence was being stripped away. She dropped out shortly after that and found herself quite happy with her friends.
Barrel is calm and collected. A ghoul who was taken just as his friends were. His family still looks for him to this day, but he finds himself avoiding them. He watches as the other two bicker over practically everything, and doesn't wish to be involved (lest he get his ass beat). He has trouble coming to terms with their days with boogie, and though he wishes to forget them he refuses to for the sake of his friends. He knows they had it worse, and it eats at him every once in awhile. He tries to focus on the present now, with his friends by his side and in his heart.
They don't know what the future holds, but they know that they will always be three of a kind, birds of a feather, now and forever.

The townsfolk
The townsfolk consist of many different kinds of people, whether it be a clown with a tear away face or a coterie of vampires, or a coven of witches! They're all here. New townsfolk have joined the humble town of Halloween, some even moving from the capital of Hallowbarrow to be here at the news of a new queen! They all play a role in this story, whether it just be one line or an action of kindness, they care greatly for the town and love the see it thrive!

Hallowbarrow
Hallowbarrow is the capital of the world of Halloween. Jack never took interest in living there, but he is still aware of it's workings. It is where every monster and creature has a home, where every monster can be free from the worry of hunting and humans that do not understand. They have an assortment of costumes, and monsters of many backgrounds and professions come from here! It is also the home of a large corkboard of missing children over the course of centuries, as stolen monster children were a large problem in the 15-1800s. Three familiar faces are plastered to the wall, the pictures blurry and unfocused. The word "MISSING" plastered above their heads in bright blood red. I wonder if anyone will ever find them.

RULES AND THINGS TO UNDERSTAND!
This is an au focussed mostly on figuring out the full extent of the horrors boogie ensued. It will most revolve around the trio, as they were the most affected by him, being as they lived with him.
My canon information and most of the things I write are based off of the movie, however there are tidbits from the game and books. I apologize if some of it isn't to your taste of what you believe to be canon, but I'm just having fun here. This is a side project I do when I am burnt out from my usual work. I will not state my main blog. It is private.
Yes, there will be canon relationship representation and some that will be developed along the way with my story. I apologize, I do not do requests. You may send questions to my ask box though! I enjoy answering them, and you may ask about any character of your choosing <3

Rules!
While there will be moderate cussing and mild to moderate dirty jokes, this is a kids' movie. The ships pertaining to Lock, Shock, Barrel, and Mabel will NOT have graphic NSFW. Yes, they are young adults in my au, however they were still children in the movie. While there will be dirty jokes (mostly by Barrel as I like to think of late teens, early adulthood him as the living personification of a Spencer's store (minus the back) and even implications of said activities, I will not write more than kissing with any of the trio + Mabel. This a important to me.
Fanworks and Aus of my AU are allowed! Tag me in the fanart, but if you are going to make a fanfic of my au please do not put my name on it. Do what you want, just keep my name away from it fanfic wise. I've seen other creators struggle with the fact that people write not okay things with their Aus and attach their name to it and I'd prefer it not happen to me. If you want to write a fic of my au, please don't attach my name to it. Just have fun with the story I've built :) Again though, do tag me in the fanart!
