He shook his head, disappointed about the fact that the young generation was taught these incomplete information about why people actually came with the term 'gay.' "Let me tell you a little about this term. Ever heard of Michel Foucault? He is the man who was practically the most clever person at the tome this term was invented, since he came with all these different kind of wise ideas about it. You see before his time discourse on sex had dealt solely with marriage—what one could and could not do within and without the bonds of marriage. But at one certain point when people started to find out more, when technology had triumphed and all, discourse on sex came increasingly to focus on those who fell outside the category of marriage: children, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and so on. A distinction arose between violations of marriage bonds, which were seen as violations of the law, and violations of what was considered natural practice, which were seen as sick or demented. So the people who had the power concluded that the people who fell outside the 'standard' and that they needed help. This way they separated the public in parts and so it was easier to influence a distinct group. Mister Foucault talks about these matters in his book, I truly advice you to read it, if you have not already. You seem like someone who understands these matters better that the general public. Anyway my point is that being gay is not strange or out of the ordinary, but the term was invented because people with the power at that time thought it was indeed. Now, fortunately the world has come to their minds and people finally start to see the ugly intentions of the inventors." He spoke calmly, trying to sound like someone who wants to help, rather than hostile. "I do know these things, I just choose to ignore most of the bullshit the media presents the people with nowadays. I stick with my own version of the truth and if my knowledge is not sufficient, I find an outside source which I can trust 100% and frankly these are really hard to come by." He smiled.
