I want to help start school protest to stop school shootings, we shouldn't be scared to die in a place where we're told we're safe. I shouldn't have to be scared to go to school every day Stop The Shootings and save your kids.

As much as a student I want to protest I can't risk my schooling because of it. I can't believe that they would suspend us for protesting for our safety. School is not more important than a person's life and never should be. One resource officer on campus won't be enough if a shooter shows up. This should obvious from the amount of dead children in classrooms. In Texas we have the WORST of the school shootings. It's because of our gun laws and people rightfully protest that they should be restricted. Because guns are not only responsible for the death of students. But also hundreds of civilians involved in violent crimes or people who are shot and murdered in cold blood. I used to be glad to be an American and to be a part of this country that was for supposedly 'freedom'. We have lost the point of our country and if our ancestors, the people who lost their lives getting us this freedom saw us now they would be extremely disappointed that their lives went to waste for *this*. America is not for freedom. Neither is it for peace. It is full of violence and hate and unreal social standards. Our government system is so unbelievably flawed because of the people we allow to run it. I can't wait to leave this damn place, because damn near anywhere in this world is better than this.

This is ridiculous. Why are they still sending kids to public schools? What do they get out of us being there that's so much more important than our litteral lives.

Schools are more focused and concerned on kids vaping or skipping class. Hell they tell us to hide in a classroom? What the hell is hiding going to do when they break into the classrooms. They are not there to simply look around and ignore locked doors. No they are there to KILL people. If they find a locked door, they will find a way in, and then what? What are they going to tell the public when a whole class of kids. Dead.

They are acting like this loss of life is nothing and it's not nothing. These are lives permanently ended, family's loosing their children. No parent should have to be scared sending their kid to a government issued building. Where they say 'send your kid or we take you to court'.

This needs to stop. I'm scared. We're all scared. We're just kids and we don't wanna die. I have so much stuff I wanna do in life but I can't even be certain I'm going to make it through highschool alive.

I made this account to attempt to form protest to stop school shootings. Things are getting out of hand, and schools are doing NOTHING to keep us safe. Us students are scared to go to school every single day because we know it could be our last.

The states force us to attend school otherwise we go to court, they do this knowing we might die. They are putting our lives on the line, and for what? Money? So money is worth more than hundreds of students lives? Worth more than the elementary students who were murdered? Kids are dying and they don't care. We need to make them care, we need to protest the schools, walk outs, marches, ANYTHING. But the students need to speak up, because clearly we are not being heard.

I will not let myself be sent somewhere to die. My little brother is in elementary school and I'm terrified for him, he's only 11 and the chance of him being killed at school is higher than anywhere else.

Please people, do something, please.
