“Listen–Kevan’s going to be gone all weekend,” River sighed, putting his shirt on. “So it’s just me an’ you for the long one. I figured I could let Jonathan handle the club for a few days. Spend some time jus’ me and you?” The man moved through the living room to sit on the couch, blue eyes focused on one of the two most important people in his life–River had a successful business, a stable life, but the only reason he really enjoyed getting out of bed were the two people who’d somehow both captured his heart. “He’s got a long shoot, which you know he’s going to come back stressed.”
He relaxed back, a cocky smile gracing his handsome features. “How long’s it been since we did somethin’ for us?” he questioned, moving to rest his hand on his partner’s thigh, squeezing the muscle there affectionately. “I don’t care what we do–somethin’ like a movie, or we can go get a damn hotel room.”
The iPad Kat held lowered slowly to lay on her other thigh while River’s hand made itself at home on her; giving her that firm squeeze she enjoyed. “Time with you?” she asked, turning slightly to take in that smile of his; one which made her melt at the sight of it but she felt the need to play. Just a little. “What makes you think I want to spend alone time with you?” Her manicured nails dragged through her loose, blonde locks and she did her best to hide the smile which eventually quirked the edge of her lips; which were a nice light pink.
Kat knew this wouldn’t last long because River was right. It was rare when the three of them weren’t together and as much as weird as it’ll feel to not have Kevan home for a couple days it will be fun to do something as only the two of them. Though she was certain she’ll place a video call to him sometime later that night. “We can get a hotel room and watch a movie in it. One of those over-priced porns just so we can see the staff’s expression when they give us the bill in the morning.” Then, “Do you think we’d get a discount if we explain our boyfriend directed one of them?” She wasn’t serious and her tone showed she wasn’t but if an opportunity raised itself she’ll absolutely ask.
