Intro Task

to say oliver was wired, would be an understatement. while the beach party had been a good time, it had ended far too early for his liking & had ultimately left the canadian at a loose-end. fortunately for oli he knew just the person that would be up for keeping the party going ! at some point in the evening he’d found himself in the possession of a bottle of tequila, which remains in his grasp as he makes his way through the steadily dispersing crowd. “storm !” a bright smile pulls at his lips when he finally manages to spot his friend. “you better not be bailing on me & heading home. someone was just telling me about this club just a couple of streets over & i’m not saying you have to come but .. you kinda have to come.”

Storm was going to enjoy every second of this Cabo trip. They had been hard at work on their new project, but had reached a bit of a slump, so this all the time party town was just what they needed. They had been dancing and laughing and drinking all night when the party seemed to be dying down. They were about to pout about it when Oli got their attention and they lit up. “Oli!” they exclaimed as they wrapped their arms around him. They gasped as they pulled away and nodded, a bit of purple flying into their face. “Yes, fuck yes, let’s do it! Lead the way!”

it wasn’t the worst position she could have been in considering the day she had endured, but wedged between two glamorous models doing their own shots camila patiently waited for the bartenders attention. hearing a voice fill her ears, her eyes shifted from the bar top unto a figure she semi-recognized with their sweet demeanor. the response slipped from her lips almost like she was on auto drive, “of course!” a smile found its ways to her face. “only if i am allowed to do tequila, though.” her hand raised causing the bartender to immediately find himself in front of the pair as she ordered two shots. “i don’t think we’ve formally met, i’m camila.” her hand poked out for a hand shake.

“Ooh I like the way you think!” they said pointing to her face. They edited their order to be tequila instead; they just made a mental note to drink a lot of water when they got home, since they were mixing alcohol now. But they were a pro at this, they’d be fine.

“I don’t think so either, nice to meet you!” they said, taking her hand and shaking it. “I’m Storm!” They handed her one of the shots and held up their own to clink glasses. “Cheers! To tonight!”

“Are you kidding me? Always,” Emi replied with a small smirk. She would never be one to turn down a drink, especially after a long day stuck in her room, trying ( and failing ) to make up a bridge for the latest song she’s been working on. “Salud,” she said, clinking her shot glass with theirs before tapping it on the bar counter and downing the shot. “What’s the occasion, by the way?” She asked them after letting out an exhale from the alcohol.

“Hell yeah!” they said, clinking their glass against hers and repeating “Salud” before downing the drink in one gulp. At her question, they placed their finger against their temple, as if trying to think of some special occasion. “Mmmm nope, no occasion, just having fun,” they said with a slightly dopey smile; now the alcohol was starting to hit a little. “Just celebrating life? We’re all alive and young and hot isn’t that enough of a reason to party?” They then shrugged. “Plus I don’t have any work or meetings tomorrow so I have plenty of recovery time.” They laughed at themselves, leaning on the bar to settle into the conversation with the other.

oliver wouldn’t call himself a party animal by any means ; but like most, he was partial to a night out. especially lately, when everything else in his life felt so damn controlled. was there a better way to let loose than by making a bad decision or two ? it’s sort of impossible to miss storm ; if their cheer hadn’t caught oli’s attention, then standing on a table certainly would have. & isn’t that a happy coincidence ? storm was certainly better company than the hangers-on the brunette had bumped into when he arrived. as such, he quickly turns his attention to his friend. “ shoulda’ known i’d bump into you here, storm ! ” the musician shakes his head in amusement, but takes the shot that’s held out all the same. “ what’re we drinking here ? you know i can’t be held accountable for any decisions i make after too much tequila ! ”

Storm’s smile lit up as he was greeted by a great party buddy. “Oli!” they exclaimed, wrapping their arms around the other. “What a perfect drinking partner! It’s a good day to be me!” They raised their own shot with a mischievous grin. “Then lucky for you, it’s a vodka night,” they explained. “Let’s drink to... our freedom to be able to do so!” They clinked their glass against his before expertly downing it with a minimal scrunch of their nose. “But if you want to really get fucked up, we can do tequila next!” They placed the glass on the counter before leaning against it, fixing a strand of purple from in front of their face. “How are you, Oli? It’s been a while! What’re you up to?”

“WOO!” Storm cheered, standing on top of the table and raising both arms in the air. They downed a shot before hopping off the table and heading back to the bar.

Despite their actions, they weren’t that drunk. They only had two shots, so they felt uninhibited, but they felt like that a lot of the time anyway. They waved over the bartender and smiled before ordering another two shots. They turned to the person next to them and held up the drink. “Wanna take a shot with me?” they asked sweetly, swaying slightly back and forth.
