AN ODE TO CASSANDRA.

RoFan Cinematic Multiverse ladies inspired by Cassandra by Taylor Swift, and as always, by villainesses. The Cassandra Series features four ladies, all the neglected and/or abused daughters of Dukes of the Empire, who were labelled as a Villainess in a previous life, and attempt to leave or tolerate their situation without trying to mend any fences, or go the "I'm just a cute child, please don't kill me in the future" route. They also all end up marrying a Grand Duke (of the North), but that was accidental on our part. Um, oops? Only three take on their husband's names, but all four change their surnames. The original Anthony Essex was an only child, an origin he's kept consistent with his subsequent variations, though the clones that are based on him could technically be called siblings, twins, or even children, he does not consider them so. However, while he is a sociopath, he does genuinely love the family he chooses. He loved his first wife, Lisbeth, dearly, as well as their children, Edward and Violet, although neither child survived infancy. The Lisbeth Clone is the only Essex Corporation property that was given free reign and autonomy, and was released to live as they choose. While he kept tabs on her, he did not interfere with the life she chose to live.

Neither the original Anthony nor his clones ever loved again until a century later, when the current Anthony fell for Suzanna Essex. Suzanna was already pregnant by the time they met, but they married quickly, and he immediately adopted Valerie once she was born. He was devastated when Suzanna died a few years later, but honoured her wishes, and did not clone her, despite wanting to.

Valerie is his only surviving child, and as such is very over-protective of her.

FRIENDSHIPS

Anthony doesn't have friends, he has employees. The original Anthony did have school mates, club mates, whatever mates during his early years, but they've all died by now, and he's become more insular with each clone. As with the majority of his relationships, he maintains them only for the value of what they can do for him.

Rachel Dayne can be called his current best friend, she openly disagrees with him and calls him out, and he doesn't fire her or try to negatively intervene in her life.

ROMANCE

Just like his friends, he only pursues "romantic" relationships for a purpose, there have only been two people any of the Anthony's have ever truly loved romantically; Lisbeth and Suzanna.
