LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL PAINTING @softlight289 DID FOR ME! 

I commissioned her to draw Lightning showing Storm his koi. It was the first thing that came to mind and then I was like, “Yes. Yes, this is exactly what my heart of hearts truly desires.” And somehow, even though it was my heart’s deepest desire, I was totally blown away by the final result. I had no idea such a prompt could be rendered as beautifully as this is. <3

I love the way the shadows are done, especially that clean fade because of the erasure lines at the edges under Storm and Lightning!

And the texture of the ground/background

And all the little details of the different flora and the lily pads and the depth and color of the water!

ALL THE KOI ARE DIFFERENT OMG

And Lightning and Storm’s cute expressions. Storm ain’t even annoyed, he’s just perplexed and possibly unnerved. And Lightning’s like, “Wait for it, wait for it–!”

It’s such a neat angle for their bodies, too. AND I LOVE? STORM’S SPOILER ESPECIALLY? IT’S SO SHINY.

i thought it would be important to bring up the fact that lightning canonically stims when hes excited or upset and someone (you follow this blog, u know who u are) pointed out to me that, since this clip was in maters daydream, it means lightning does it enough in Real Life for other people to notice and associate the action with lightnings joy 🙁

Honestly, I feel sorry for him when I notice that he shakes a lot when racing. My friend told me that his prototype model (Buick GNX 1987) has v6 engine, while all the other racers have a v8. ,,Ale no tak drahá! Je to jen sníh!” zasmál se Strip

,,Jo teto! Strejda má pravdu!” smál se Cal

,,Mm velmi vtipné.” Lynda mumlala a rychle po nich hodila obrovskou kouly sněhu. Stripovi se podařilo uhnout v čas ale Cal to štěstí neměl a tak zůstal zahalený ve sněhu.

,,Of course the two of them will get cold. Just look at them.” Lynda whispered to herself, but then she felt a pile of snow fall on her roof screamed and quickly looked toward her husband and nephew, and see them both laugh.

,,Well, you two will see.” she whispered to herself.

,,Come on, dear! It's just snow!” Strip laughed

,,Yeah aunt! Uncle's right!” Cal laughed

,,Mm very funny.” Lynda murmured to herself and quickly threw a big ball of snow at them. Strip quickly drove away, but Cal was unlucky, so he remained shrouded in snow.
