It takes only a short moment for the door to open. Kurt had been in the middle of getting ready, half of his light leather armor already on. Upon seeing her he freezes, his heart skipping a beat.
There she was, like a heroine stepped right out of a Grognak comic, completed with the biggest sword heâs ever seen. If not for the bleak backdrop of Diamond City shacks it was like he had opened door to an alternative universe. She looked like a true Valkyrie.
A little weak at knees Kurt finally finds his voice. âHey. I, I mean, good morning. Iâd, uh, invite you in but,â he gestures at her armored person, âitâs kinda cramped in here.â
âIâll be ready in a moment anyway.â Leaving the door open he goes back to strapping on the last pieces of his armor. Deft fingers working swiftly it doesnât take long to don on knee pads and vambraces.
Moxie greeted Kurt with a smile and a wave. âOkay! Donât be long. If there is anything in that place you told me about I donât want to give it time to wake up.â
She waited patiently outside as Kurt got ready, peeking in occasionally to see what he put on. Knee pads? Snipers got on their knees sometimes, right? Hildur would have made a nasty joke about that. She made a face to herself and turned ahead again.
âWhat do you expect to find, anyway? Something valuable? Food, maybe? I have tried the things that come out of boxes already. They donât taste very good.â
