Dacre Montgomery has dealt with fatphobia, including being explicitly told that he would need to lose weight if he wanted to find work. He was bullied as a kid, and he had a poor self image.

I've seen pictures and videos of him that he's shared from his childhood and teen years. In my opinion, he was never a big guy, but he was "overweight" and it impacted how people treated him in the industry.

It's ironic when people suggest we would not like Billy if he was fat or that we would use his weight to dehumanize him. We know how that impacted Dacre, and many of us deal with that too.

If you don't understand this then you're not paying attention - most of the love for Billy doesn't come from the superficial. It comes from empathy. We genuinely care about Billy and his story.

We're not the ones going "Dacre is hot, but Billy is terrible" then turning around accusing people of only liking Billy because he isn't "fat." Y'all are the ones who only value Billy for his looks.

Also, Dacre is still the thickest out of his young castmates and most of them grew up conventionally thin. And we love the way he looks whether he's thin or thick. He's a beautiful guy. Period.
